Qingang Cup" 2008 Qinhuangdao City Bridge Championship Rules
1. Competition date: November 15-16, 2008
2. Competition location: Qinhuangdao China Coal Building
3. Organizer: Qinhuangdao Sports Federation

4. Competition items: (1) Open team competition (start at 8:30 on the 15th)
(2) Open double match (starts at 8:30 on the 16th)
5. Participating Units: Bridge fans can freely form a team to participate
6. Participation method:
(1) Each team can apply for 1 team leader and coach and 4-6 athletes.
(2) Each team shall pay for the participation fee.
7. Competition method:
(1) Open team competition
There are two stages: the preliminaries and the final.
1. Preliminary stage: Swiss shift match. There are 6 rounds, 8 pairs in each round, and the ranking is determined by VP. The top 8 in the Swiss shift match entered the knockout round.
2. Final stage: knockout.
(1) Quarter-finals: The top 8 preliminaries will play the quarter-finals with 16 decks of cards, divided into two quarters. The first place in the preliminaries has the right to choose an opponent from the 5-8th place; and so on. The winner enters the semi-finals.
(2) Semi-final: The first among the four teams that have entered the semi-final has the right to choose opponents from the third and fourth places. The semi-final game has 24 decks of cards, divided into two quarters. The winner enters the final, and the loser enters the 3rd and 4th play-offs.
(3) Finals: The 32-deck finals will be divided into two quarters. The winner is the first, and the loser is the second.
(4) 3rd and 4th place play-offs: There are 24 cards in the play-offs, divided into two quarters. The winner is third, and the loser is fourth.
(5) Among the teams that have not entered the top four, the two teams with better preliminary results shall be selected as the fifth and sixth.
(2) Open Doubles
All teams that have not made the top four can participate in the open double match. The open double competition is divided into two stages, the preliminary and the final.
1. The preliminaries adopt the Mitchell system, and 6 tables will enter the final, and the rest can participate in the consolation double match;
2. The Howell system is used in the final; the consolation double match is based on the number of players.
8. Admission ranking and rewards:
(1) The top six admitted in open team competitions will all be awarded certificates, and the top four will be awarded 2000, 1500, 1000, and 800 yuan respectively;
(2) The top six applicants in the open double competition will all be awarded certificates, and the top six will be awarded 1,000, 600, 400, 300, 200, 200 yuan respectively;
(3) The top two places in the consolation match will be awarded 200 and 100 yuan respectively;
(4) One lucky prize will be drawn from the unwinners in the open double match and consolation double match with a prize of 200 yuan.
9. Registration:
(1) Registration method: All participating teams must register at the office of Wang Zuolei of Qinhuangdao Vocational and Technical College by letter, text message or email before November 10, 2008. Overdue time will not be waited. (2) Registration fee: 500 yuan per team for open team matches, 100 yuan per pair for open doubles (one pair in the open team finals, and 3 pairs for other teams), free consolation doubles;
(3) Two lunches and one dinner will be provided by the competition. Meal fee 300 yuan/team (if there are only 4 people, 200 yuan/team)
(4) Board and lodging expenses 160 yuan/person.day
