Notice on organizing registration for the 6th World Youth Bridge Open Championship

    The 6th World Youth Bridge Open Championship will be held in Opatija, Croatia from August 20th to 29th, 2019. The relevant matters concerning the registration of the event and the China Bridge Association registration are as follows:


First, the organizer


The competition was hosted by the World Bridge Federation, hosted by the Croatian Bridge Association and the Opatija Bridge Association.


Second, groups and projects


(1) Competition group


1. Youth Group: Athletes must be born after January 1, 1994


2. Women's Team: Athletes must be born after January 1, 1994.


3. Junior Group: Athletes must be born after January 1, 1999.


4. Children's group: Athletes must be born after January 1, 2004.


(2) Competitions


1. World Doubles Championship


2. World Team Championship (Swiss / Elimination)


3. World One Pair (BAM) Team Championship


4. World Individual Championship


Third, the schedule


August 20th (starting at 10am), double registration


Opening ceremony at 19:30 on August 20th


August 21-23, double tournament (18:30 awards)


August 24-27, team competition (Swiss / Elimination)


BAM Team Competition, August 25-27


August 28-29, individual competition


Closing Ceremony and Awards Ceremony at 19:30 on August 29


Fourth, the registration fee


(1) Charge standard


Doubles: EUR 200


Team competition (Swiss / Elimination): EUR 750


BAM team competition: 200 euros, the team eliminated from the team competition (Swiss system / knockout), free of registration fee


Individual competition: free registration fee

Five, hotel reservation


The organizing committee has reserved a hotel for the competition, please ask each team to book as soon as possible, hotel reservation contact: Ms. Iva Erceg, contact email: iva.erceg@skole.hr, the following accommodation costs per person per day:

Note: Lunch and dinner for staff staying at Hostel Link Lovran is available at Grand Hotel 4 Opatijska Cvijeta and will be served at Hostel Link Lovran.


The above prices are valid for all participants and their accompanying personnel. Stay at Hostel Link Lovran and get a free bus ticket from Lovran to Opatija (at least 4 round trips) from 8am to 24pm daily.


6. Application conditions and requirements


(1) Chinese athletes participating in this competition must register with the World Bridge Federation through the China Bridge Association. The participating athletes must be individual members of the China Bridge Association.


(2) The participating teams must register with the China Bridge Association through the Bridge Association of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government of China Bridge Association.


(3) All relevant personnel of the participating teams shall be subject to the unified management of the China Bridge Association and, if necessary, obey the unified command.


(4) All personnel participating in this World Youth Championship shall abide by the rules of the World Bridge Federation and sign the participation commitment letter, and shall not have any problems with the competition. Athletes should be able to communicate in English. The rules of the competition, including the Code of Conduct and the bidding system regulations, will be published on the World Bridge website. (5) The units and athletes applying for the competition must guarantee to participate in the competition.


7. The China Bridge Association is responsible for the unified registration of the World Bridge and the invitation letter of the competition organizing committee. All units will complete the registration and registration information after obtaining the confirmation of the China Bridge Association (doubles and team competitions must complete the information registration through the World Bridge website before July 1) and conduct foreign affairs visits according to local foreign affairs. .


8. The deadline for submitting applications to the China Bridge Association is June 15th.
