Regulations of the 21st Shanghai Team Bridge Championship

I. Organizer: Shanghai Bridge Association


2. Date and place of the competition:


Date: May 31, 2008 to June 16, 2008


Venue: Hongxia Ballroom of Railway Workers' Culture Palace (No. 164 Wangjiazhai Road, between North Tibet Road and Mingde Road)


Participants: First-level teams in the open group (winning 20 first-class teams in 2007)


               Open Group B teams (20 B-teams in 2007)


               Open Group C


4. Contest items: Team competitions


V. Participation methods:


(1) Each team can report 1 leader and coach, 6 athletes. The participating unit must be a member of the City Bridge Association, and the athlete must be Shanghai.


      Individual member of the Bridge Association. Each athlete can only represent one team in this competition, otherwise the results of the two teams will be invalid.


    (2) Registration date and method


1. Every day from May 22, 2008, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, to the City Bridge Association Office, Room 421, City Sports Club, 150 Nanjing West Road

2. The first and second teams received an entry fee of 400 yuan for each team, and the third and third teams received an entry fee of 300 yuan.


6. Competition methods:


(I) Competition methods for each group:


(1) Class A team: The preliminaries are arranged in a serpentine form according to last year's ranking, divided into two groups, single round-robin, playing 2-3 rounds each, 12 pairs per round


     brand. The top four teams in the two groups play the knockout rounds. The first team in the group has the right to choose the other three teams for the opponent.


     Cross each other and play 32 decks per round (24 decks in the playoffs). Half of the preliminaries and half of the preliminaries


     Bring a third, but the maximum must not exceed one quarter of the number of deputies in the tournament; 5-6 in the two groups, ranked 9-12 by average VP

(2) Class B team: The preliminary matches are arranged in a serpentine form according to last year's ranking, divided into two major groups, single round-robin, 2-3 rounds per game, 12 pairs per round


     brand. The first place of the two groups is directly promoted, and the 2-3 players play the knockout match with 32 sets of cards. The winner is promoted; the loser and the two groups of


     4-6, ranked 5-12 according to average VP, 7-8 players in the two groups played a knockout match with 32 decks, the winner relegated; the loser and


     9-10 players from both groups were relegated to the third division.


(3) Team C: The preliminary round draws a large group of single-round rounds, with 3 rounds each and 8 decks per round; the first place in a large group advances directly,


     2-3 players played in a knockout match with 24 decks, and the winner advanced.


(II) Calculation method of each group:


(1) The round-robin match between A and B teams is settled by V.P. If the V.P of two or more teams are equal, the I.M.P score will be compared.


     Ranked first. The knockout match is compared with the number of I.M.P, and the higher is ranked first; if they are equal, 2 extra cards will be played until the decision is made


     Winning and losing.


(2) The third team is dominated by field points, supplemented by V.P. 0-1I.M.P, the field is divided into 1: 1; 2-5I.M.P, the field is divided into 1.5: 0.5;


     Above 6I.M.P, the field is divided into 2: 0. If V.P is equal, the I.M.P score ratio is compared, and the higher is ranked first.


(3) Quotas for promotion and demotion:


(1) The first team dropped 6 players to the second team.


(2) The top 4 teams of the second team were promoted to the first team, and the second team was dropped to 6 teams.


(3) The top two teams in the third division were promoted to the second division.


(4) The competition adopts the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the Chinese Bridge Association in 1999 and the "Chinese Bridge Association" issued in 2006


      Duplicate Contracting Bridge Judgement Law (Trial).


    (5) The competition team and the referee preside over the grouping and organization.


    (6) Each pair of players must fill in the Chinese agreement card in detail.


Seven, incentives:


The top 6 teams in the open group will be awarded the Shanghai Bridge Association Master Points, and the China Bridge Association Master Points will be declared in accordance with regulations.


8. Any outstanding matters shall be notified separately by the organizer.
