The first Asian Cup Bridge Tournament started on September 1st in Australia's Gold Coast. After 5 days of round-robin competition, teams from each group entered the semifinals. The Chinese men's team, the Chinese women's team and the two youth teams were shortlisted for the Open Group, the Women's Group and the Youth Group.
