Rules for the Qualifying Tournament of Bridge A Club


1. Competition date and location:


From December 9th to 19th, 2008, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province.


2. Organizer:


China Bridge Association


3. Competition items:


Open team competition.


4. Participating Units:


(1) The two clubs whose membership of Category A clubs were suspended after the end of the 2008 National Bridge Category A Club League.


(2) Clubs that want to apply to become members of Class A clubs of the China Bridge Association.


5. Participation method:


(1) Each team can apply for 1 team leader and coach, and 4-6 athletes.


(2) Among the two club players whose membership of the Class A club has been suspended, at least four registered full-time players from the China Bridge Association must be guaranteed.


(3) The athletes of the representative team that Yuxin applies to become members of the Chinese Bridge Association Class A club shall not include athletes who have participated in the 2008 Class A Club League. And pay a deposit of 100,000 yuan for the competition.


 (4) Each team shall pay for the participation fee.


6. Competition method:


The competition is divided into two stages: preliminaries and knockouts.


(1) Preliminaries. The club teams that suspended the qualification of the national bridge A club and other clubs that signed up for the qualifying competition due to the 16th place in the first two points of the national bridge A club league in 2008, the competition method depends on the registration situation.


(2) Elimination. The top 3 preliminaries and the clubs whose qualifications for the national bridge A clubs were suspended due to the 2008 National A Clubs League Playoffs (referred to as the losers of the playoffs) will play 128-decks. The first team in the preliminaries has the right to choose one of the 2 and 3 as opponents, and the other team and the losing team in the play-offs as opponents.


The game is determined by the quarter points. When the quarter points are the same, IMP is used to determine the winner. When the IMP is the same:


1. If both teams have participated in the preliminaries, the team with the highest ranking wins;


2. If one team is the losing team in the playoffs and the other team is the one that has participated in the preliminary rounds, the losing team in the playoffs will win.


The winning team qualified for the 2009 National Bridge Class A Club.


(3) The competition adopts the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association.


Seven, registration and registration:


(1) Registration:


1. All units must submit the registration form and deposit to the China Bridge Association before November 30.


2. Registration fee: 800 yuan/team. Submit it to the competition organizing committee when you register.


(2) Registration:


The participating teams report one day before the competition.


8. The methods for the selection of referees and the arbitration committee shall be formulated separately.


9. Matters not covered will be notified separately.
