The "Xinyuan Cup" 2009 Beijing Professional Bridge Grand Prix, hosted by Beijing Xinyuan Bridge Club and undertaken by Beijing Bridge Association, is scheduled to be held from January 9th to January 11th, 2009 at the Beijing Bridge Activity Center. There are ten teams participating in this competition. They are: Beijing Huayuan Bridge Club, Beijing Xinyuan Group Bridge Club, Beijing Kobia Bridge Club, Beijing Capital Bridge Club, Beijing Bedick Bridge Club, Beijing Sanchen Group Bridge Club , Beijing Financiers Bridge Club, Beijing Golden Eagle Bridge Club, and the top two teams in the additional trials.
1. Additional trials time:
The first phase is 12:30-18:30 on January 2;
The second phase is from 12:30-18:30 on January 3rd.
2. Competition method:
The competition is divided into two stages.
1. The first stage: depending on the number of teams registered to determine the game method and produce the top 4 teams.
2. The second stage: The first place in the first stage can select opponents from three or four for elimination. The knockout round is divided into 3 quarters, each with 14 pairs.
3. Teams that meet in the second stage of the knockout rounds will be scored according to the regulations if they have met in the first stage. The team with the highest ranking will have priority in choosing the home and away team.
4. The two teams that win the second stage of the elimination round will qualify for the Grand Prix.
3. Competition qualifications:
1. The two winning teams in the trials must ensure that 4 of them are the original trial members when participating in the Grand Prix.
2. Players who directly qualify for the Grand Prix are not allowed to participate in the trials, and there are no restrictions on female players.
