The 2020 Shanghai "Qingmei Cup" Internet Bridge Open, hosted by the Shanghai Pudong New Area Bridge Association, ended on June 21.
The Shanghai Pudong New Area Bridge Association is actively trying to host the online bridge open competition. The enthusiasm of the applicants and the hot participating teams have far exceeded the organizers’ expectations since the information was posted online in early June. A total of 958 people signed up for 165 teams from all over the country (69 teams in Shanghai and 96 teams from other provinces and cities). This is one of the most participating teams since the launch of the national network bridge competition.
After seven rounds of fierce competition with a total of 84 cards, the Shanghai Supervision Team, Jiangyou Team, Tairong Team, Xueyuan Team, Rongqiao Shuxin Team, Xijian Team, Daqing Team, and Baoding Network Team won the top eight. Although there were many participating teams in this competition, all the participating teams actively cooperated and obeyed the referee's arrangements and penalties throughout the competition, which reflected a good mental outlook and quality to ensure that the competition was carried out in a safe and complete manner. After the game, many participating teams received thanks and praise from the organizing committee and referees.
