The first leg of the 2020 Shanghai "Changning Cup" Bridge League Rules will start on August 8, 2020. The deadline for registration is July 31, with a limit of 32 teams


1. Organizer: Changning District Bridge Association


2. Organizer: Shanghai Chenyi Sports Development Co., Ltd.


3. Co-organizer: Shanghai Yan'an Experimental Junior High School


4. Competition date: August-December 2020


          In order to avoid time conflicts with important events in the country and this city, the specific game dates of each league station will be notified in the team leader group of each team two weeks in advance!


V. Competition venue: Shanghai Yan'an Experimental Junior High School (No. 51 Pusong South Road)


6. Competition item: Open team competition


7. Entry method:


1. All bridge enthusiasts can freely form a team to participate. Each team can report 1 team leader, 1 coach, and 4 to 6 athletes (8 members of each team can participate in the competition, and it is strictly forbidden to change teams) .


2. The deadline for registration is July 31, with a limit of 32 teams.


3. Each team needs to pay the event service fee of 4200 yuan, and the successful payment can confirm the competition. Remit the money to Shanghai Chenyi Sports Development Co., Ltd., account number: 31050171390000000052, Yan'an Road Sub-branch, Shanghai Branch of China Construction Bank.


8. Competition method:


1. There are 7 league games in total, which are divided into 6 sub-stations, 1 finals and additional points.


   The first qualifying round adopts a points-based arrangement. The competition will be conducted in 7 rounds with 8 decks of cards in each round. Arrange all the rankings with cumulative V.P and give corresponding points.


2. In the first qualifying round, the teams from 1 to 8 will be grouped into group A; teams from 9 to 20 are grouped into group B; teams from 21 to 32 are grouped into group C.


3. From the second leg of the sub-station competition, Group A adopts a single loop competition, with 8 decks of cards in each round, for a total of 7 rounds. Both Group B and Group C are arranged by points, with a total of 5 rounds and 12 decks of cards in each round. The last two in group A are reduced to group B, the top two in group B are promoted to group A, the last three are reduced to group C, and the top three in group C are promoted to group B.


4. The finals are divided into knockouts and additional points arrangement


The top eight teams with accumulated points in the six sub-matches enter the elimination round. The top three players in the preliminaries will select opponents from five to eight in order. The winning team will enter the semi-finals to determine one to four. The losing team will be ranked according to the additional points. The average score of the first place will bring points into the additional points arrangement.


The ninth-placed team in the six sub-stations will take 20% of the cumulative VP of the sub-stations into the additional points arrangement, and arrange the first round according to the ranking.


5. Points rules: each station has N+1 points for the first place, N-1 points for the second place, N-2 points for the third place, and 1 point for the last place (N=the actual number of participating teams).


9. Admission ranking and reward method:


1. In the first qualifying round, the top ten will be rewarded.


2. From station 2 to station 6, each station will be given the following rewards.


Group A will take the top 4 awards.


Group B will take the top 6 awards.


Group C takes the top 6 rewards


3. The top four players in the finals will be awarded.


4. The top eight players in the bonus points competition will be rewarded.


X. Competition arbitration


The competition implements the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" and the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules Supplementary Regulations (latest edition)" approved by the China Bridge Association in 2018. The chief referee is responsible for rulings and no arbitration committee is established. For disputed judgments, the referee team shall perform the arbitration procedure, accept the appeal, and make a final decision after hearing the opinions of all parties.

The unmentioned matters will be notified separately, and the interpretation of this regulation belongs to the Changning District Bridge Association.
