The “Xinyuan Cup” 2009 Beijing Professional Bridge Grand Prix additional trials organized by the Beijing Bridge Association concluded at the Beijing Bridge Activity Center on the afternoon of January 3. Beijing Hengsha Technology Team and Beijing Century Changda Team won the top two and won two wild card places to participate in the Grand Prix.
A total of 26 teams signed up for this additional trial. The competition is divided into two stages. The first stage was a five-round Swiss shift match with 10 decks. Beijing Hengsha Technology Team, He Weidong Team, Beijing Jiyeda Team, and Beijing Century Changda Team won the top four and qualified for the second stage knockout round. The knockout is divided into 3 quarters, each with 14 decks of cards. "Xinyuan Cup" 2009 Beijing Professional Bridge Grand Prix will be held in Beijing Bridge Activity Center from January 9th to 11th. Participating units are 7 A-type professional bridge clubs and sponsors from the capital, and two selection teams that have obtained wild card qualifications, totaling 10 teams.
