Rules for the 23rd National "Balling Cup" Bridge Invitational Tournament


1. Time and place:


Held in Lishui City on September 9-12, 2009.


2. Inviting unit:


All provinces, municipalities directly under the Central Government, autonomous regions, related industry sports associations, Hong Kong, Macao Special Administrative Regions, and Taiwan regions.


3. Participation method:


(1) Provincial and municipal bridge associations can form teams to participate, and each team can report one leader or coach, and six players. Matching pairs must be over one hundred years old in total. The minimum age of each participant must not be less than fifty years old.


(2) The participating unit must be a group member of the China Bridge Association, and the team members must carry an individual membership card of the China Bridge Association (except for members from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau).


4. Competition method:


(1) The open four-player team competition is divided into two stages: preliminary and final. The first stage adopts a group round robin, and the second stage adopts a single round or cross elimination round (depending on the number of participating teams). Teams that have not reached the finals can participate in the Swiss competition. The results are calculated according to the 25:0 VP standard announced by the World Bridge Federation.


(2) Implement the 1999 version of the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association.


(3) It is forbidden to use unusual bidding systems such as weak opening bids. The bidding system and attack signal used must be filled out in detail on the agreed card. The agreement card must be filled out in duplicate and brought to the stadium for future use.


5. Admission rankings and rewards:


(1) Enroll the top six, among which the top three individuals have won individual trophies for the first, second, and third place.


(2) The players of the top three teams (must be based on the playing rate) will be awarded the master points of the Chinese Bridge Association.


(3) The top four Swiss-made admissions will be rewarded.


(4) All contestants will be given souvenirs.


6. Registration and registration:


(1) Participating units must send the report list to Zhejiang Bridge Association (in Ziyun Hotel, 33 Hangda Road, Hangzhou, contact person: Shao Likui, telephone 0571-87993381, post code 310007) and Lishui Bridge Association before August 15 (No. 298, Zhongshan Street, Department Store, Lishui City, Contact: Zhao Min, Tel. 0572-2128097, 13002675672, Zip Code 323000).


(2) All teams should report to the Pacific Business Hotel in Lishui City (No. 1, Building 1, Linan Garden, Liandu District, Lishui City) on September 12, 0578-2282555, FAX2282556.


7. Participation fees:


Registration fee: 500 yuan per team for the open group, 200 yuan per team for the Swiss system.


Board and lodging expenses are self-paid 150 yuan per person per day, and the shortfall will be subsidized by the conference.
