1. Competition date: October 2 to 5, 2009


2. Competition location: Beidaihe Guolin Hotel (three-star, address: No. 3 Heishi Road)


3. Organizer: Qinhuangdao Bridge Association

4. Competition items: open team competition, open double competition


5. Participants: Bridge enthusiasts from all over the country can freely form a team to participate


6. Participation method:


(1) Each team can report 1 leader, 1 coach and 4-6 athletes;


(2) Each team shall pay for the participation fee.


7. Competition method:


(1) Open team competition: divided into two stages


<1> Preliminary stage: According to the number of participating teams, it is decided to adopt the group loop or the Swiss shift system. There are 12 pairs in each round, and the ranking is determined by VP.


<2> Final stage: knockout.


  1. Quarter-finals: The top 8 preliminaries will play the quarter-finals with 24 decks of cards. The first place in the preliminaries has the right to choose an opponent from the 5-8th place; and so on. The winner enters the semi-finals;


  2. Semi-finals: The winning team in the quarter-finals will play a semi-final with 24 decks of cards. Among the four teams, the team with the best preliminaries has the right to choose opponents from the second two teams with the preliminaries. The winner enters the final, and the loser enters the 3rd and 4th play-offs;


  3. Finals: The winning team in the semi-finals will go to the 32-deck finals.


  4. Third and fourth place play-offs: The losing team in the semi-finals will play 24 cards play-offs. The winner is third, and the loser is fourth;


  5. Among the top 8 teams that did not enter the semifinals in the preliminary rounds, the 2 teams with better results in the preliminary rounds shall be selected as the 5th and 6th in the open team style.


(2) Open double match:


  1. The preliminaries adopt the Mitchell system, and the first 6 tables will enter the final.


  2. The final 6-table Howell system is adopted. Pairs that have not reached the final can participate in the consolation double match.


(3) Adopt the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association.


(4) Each pair of players bring 3 copies of the agreed card, and 1 copy will be submitted to the competition team for the record at the time of registration.


8. Admission rankings and rewards:


 1. The top six admitted in the open team competition will be rewarded as follows (RMB):


   Champion: 10,000 yuan


   Runner-up: 5000 yuan


   3rd place: 3000 yuan


   4th place: 2000 yuan


   5th place: 1,000 yuan


   6th place: 800 yuan


   One lucky prize will be drawn from the unwinning teams in the team-style competition (except for teams that retired halfway), with a prize of 500 yuan.


  2. Open double match:


(1) The top six admitted in the race will be awarded 1,200 yuan, 800 yuan, 600 yuan, 400 yuan, 300 yuan, and 200 yuan respectively (may be adjusted according to the number of teams registered);


(2) The first 2 tables in the consolation match will be rewarded with 200 yuan and 100 yuan respectively.


9. Registration and check-in:


(1) Registration:

  2. Registration fee: 500 yuan per team for open team style matches; 100 yuan per pair for open double matches. On-site registration is adopted for the double match.


  3. This year is the first year after the Olympic Games, and Beidaihe will usher in another peak tourist season different from previous years. Accommodation is tight. In order to ensure the smooth progress of the competition, the organizing committee will uniformly arrange board and lodging. Therefore, all participating teams are required to reserve the required number of rooms and pay the registration fee while mailing the registration form. The organizing committee will receive the registration fee to confirm the registration of each team. Please remit the registration fee to: China Construction Bank card 534206302379012 Wang Zuolei. After the remittance, please notify by SMS in time and save the relevant documents, so that the registration fee can be refunded accurately and timely when the competition cannot be held due to special circumstances. For those who have not booked a room before the registration deadline, the organizing committee will not be able to ensure their qualifications. After the registration deadline and before the end of the preliminaries of the competition team, the organizing committee will not accept check-out requests.


   (2) Registration:


All participating teams are requested to report to the competition area from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on October 1st. A team leader meeting will be held at 9:30 pm on the 1st to confirm the final number of participating teams and arrange the schedule. The game started on time at 8:30 on the 2nd. Competitors’ room and board are 200 yuan per person per day. Non-staff personnel are 250 yuan/day per person.
