Competition Regulations for the 22nd Shanghai Team Bridge Level Competition of the "Tianhang Cup" in 2009

3. Participating unit: Open Group A team (won the 18 A team in 2008)

4. Competition item: team competition (upgrade and downgrade)
5. Participation method:
(1) Each team can report for 1 team leader and coach, 6 athletes. The participating unit must be a member of the Municipal Bridge Association and the athlete must be an individual member of the Shanghai Bridge Association. Each athlete can only represent one team in this competition, otherwise the results of the two teams will be invalid.
(2) Registration date and method
1. From September 15, 2009, from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, go to the Office of the City Bridge Association, Room 106, No. 20, Weihai Road (Room 2118, East Asia Building, No. 1800, Zhongshan South 2nd Road). Phone: 63721759.
2. The registration fee for each team of the A and B teams is 500 yuan, and the registration fee for each team of the C team is 400 yuan.
6. Competition method:
(1) Competition methods for each group:
(1) First-tier team: The preliminary rounds are arranged in a serpentine form according to last year's ranking. They are divided into two groups, a single round robin, with 2-3 rounds per game and 12 decks of cards per round. The top four of the two major groups play a knockout round. The first team of the group has the right to choose three or four opponents from the other group. The two groups cross each other and play 32 cards in each round (24 cards in the play-offs). The top half of the preliminaries in the preliminaries, and one third of the bottom ones, but the highest number of cards must not exceed one-fourth of the number of cards; the 6-7 of the two major groups play 24 cards with points. In the knockout round, the winner is relegated; the winner and the 5th place of the two major groups are ranked 9-12 according to the average VP, and the loser and the 8-9 of the two major groups are relegated to the second-tier team.
(2) Team B: The preliminaries are arranged in a serpentine form according to last year's ranking. They are divided into two groups, a single round robin, with 2-3 rounds per game and 12 decks of cards per round. The first place in the two major groups advances directly, 2-3 players play in the knockout with 24 cards, and the winner advances; 6-7 players in the two major groups play in the knockout with 24 cards, and the winner is relegated; 2- 3 losers, 6-7 winners and 4-5 of the two major groups, ranked 7-14 according to the average VP, and the losers and 8-9 of the two major groups are reduced to the C team.
(3) Team C: To be determined according to the registration situation.
(2) Calculation method of each group:
(1) The round-robin matches between the first and second teams are settled by V.P. If two or more teams have the same V.P, compare the I.M.P scores and lose points, and the higher one will be ranked first. In the knockout rounds, the I.M.P is compared, and the one with the highest rank is ranked first; if they are equal, two additional cards will be played until the winner is determined.
(2) The C-level team is divided into the main field and V.P as the auxiliary. 0-1I.M.P, the field is divided into 1:1; 2-5I.M.P, the field is divided into 1.5:0.5; above 6I.M.P, the field is divided into 2:0. If V.P is equal, compare the ratio of I.M.P's scores and points, and the higher one will be ranked first.
(3) Quota for promotion and promotion:
(1) The first-tier team is downgraded by 6 to the second-tier team.
(2) The top 4 of the second-tier team will be promoted to the first-tier team, and the second-tier team will drop 6 to the third-tier team.
(3) The top 2 of the C-level team are promoted to the B-level team.
(4) The competition adopts the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association in 1999 and the "China Bridge Association Double Contract Bridge Judgment Method (Trial)" promulgated in 2006.
(5) The competition team and the chief referee preside over the grouping and arrangement work.
(6) Each pair of contestants must fill in the Chinese agreement card in detail, and those without an agreement card are not allowed to participate.
7. Reward method:
The top 6 of the first-class team in the open group will be awarded the Shanghai Bridge Association Master points, and the Chinese Bridge Association Master points will be declared in accordance with the regulations.
