The 2009 Shanghai Pupils Bridge Double Tournament was successfully held in Wusong Experimental School on September 12, 2009.
126 elementary school students from 20 schools in eight districts including Xuhui, Huangpu, Changning and Baoshan participated in the competition; the preliminaries were divided into four lines by drawing lots and Mitchell shift was used for the competition, and the top four in each line from the north to the south and from the east to the west. Participate in the finals, the rest of the students participate in the play-offs; the finals also use Mitchell shift, divided into two groups A and B at the same time, the top eight of the second group will be awarded, and the top three of the play-offs will be selected to increase the award. The criterion is to increase the interest of primary school students in learning bridge, and advocate the emphasis on participation, so as to encourage primary school students to learn bridge.
Yuan Shengsong, Wu Yuncheng, Jin Yiwen, Xu Shengtai, Pan Xiaodong, Jin Kai, Kang Cheng, and Liu Yiheng won the East-West and North-South champions in Group A and B respectively.
