Regulations for the 2011 Jiangsu Provincial Bridge Rank Competition

4、 Competition time and location




The first and second level open groups and women's groups will be held in Suzhou from October 29 to November 1, 2011.




5、 Participating units




Class A teams: Nanjing Zhongshan Club, Kunshan Man's Team, Suzhou Wu Squadron, Jiangsu Finance Team, Nanjing City Team, Qidong City Team, Yangzhou Jinchun Team, Suzhou Youtong Team, Ouhua Team, Hongyu Team, Nanjing Qijian Team, Nantong Bridge Association Team, Siyang Team, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Team, Wuxi City Team, Yangzhou Construction Engineering Team.




Class B team: All members and enthusiasts of the Jiangsu Bridge Association can form teams to register and participate. The specific rules will be formulated by the Jiangsu Bridge Association.




Women's group: If the number of registered teams does not exceed four, they will be included in the second tier team for competition.




6、 Participation method




1. Each team can have one leader, one coach, and six athletes.




2. Each team shall bear their own participation fees, as detailed in the supplementary regulations of the competition area.




3. All members of the association are required to pay a group membership fee of 300 yuan. Please remit it to the Jiangsu Bridge Association before the competition. (Jiangsu Bridge Association: Account Number: 0803014210000145, Bank of Deposit: China Minsheng Bank Nanjing Shanghai Road Branch)




4. Group members who have paid membership fees can each choose a representative team to participate in the A, B, and women's group competitions, with a registration fee of 300 yuan per team. For other participating teams, the registration fee is 800 yuan per team.




5. Athletes participating in the competitions of Class A and Class B teams are not allowed to cross level each other.




6. If a first tier team abstains, they will no longer be replaced, and their qualification as a first tier team will not be retained.




7. Each team is limited to one pair of foreign aid (non Jiangsu national players with ID cards are foreign aid)




7、 Competition methods




1. The competition adopts the latest approved "China Bridge Competition Rules" by the China Bridge Association.




2. The competition of the first tier team is divided into two stages:




Preliminaries: A group round robin is adopted, with 3 matches per day and 20 deck cards played per game. The top two in the preliminary group enter the semi-finals, the third place in the group is relegated, ranking 5-6. The fourth to seventh place in the group enters the next round of relegation, and the eighth place in the group is directly relegated.




Final stage: Semifinals: The top two players in the preliminary group will cross and play in the semi-finals of 32 sets of cards. The winner enters the final, while the loser enters the playoffs for third or fourth place. Knockout stage 1-1: In the round robin, the third place team in the group will participate in a 32 deck playoff, with the winning team ranking fifth and the losing team ranking sixth. In the round robin group, 4-5 players cross to participate in a 32 pack elimination round robin. The winner is relegated to 7th to 8th place, while the loser enters the elimination round robin 2-1. Knockout stage 1-2: In the round robin, 6-7 teams from the group will cross to participate in the 32 deck knockout stage. The winning team will enter knockout stage 2-1, and the losing team will be relegated.




Final: The winning team in the semi-finals will participate in the 48 deck final, with the winning team ranking first and the losing team ranking second. 3. 4 playoffs: The losing team in the semi-finals will play 32 deck playoffs. The winning team ranks third, while the losing team ranks fourth. Knockout stage 2-1: The winning team in knockout stage 1-1 will participate in a 32 deck playoff, with the winning team ranking seventh and the losing team ranking eighth. The losing team in knockout stage 1-1 will compete with the winning team in knockout stage 1-2 in a 32 pack knockout match. The winner will be relegated to 9th to 10th place, and the losing team will be relegated.




3. The competition of the second tier team is subject to registration.




4. Each pair of players is required to bring three copies of the agreed upon card, one copy to be handed over to the competition team of the university at the time of registration, and two copies to be brought to the table during the competition.




5. The 11th to 16th places in the first tier team were demoted to the second tier team, while the 1st to 6th places in the second tier team were promoted to the first tier team.




8、 Registration and check-in




1. Each team must fax the application form to the Bridge Association of Jiangsu Province (No. 1-6, Mount Wutai, Nanjing, Postcode: 210029, Tel: 025-86608792, Fax: 025-51888635) and the competition area before October 15 (see the supplementary notice for specific contact information). If a member unit is selecting a team, please indicate it on the registration form and fax the remittance voucher.




2. Registration: The arbitration committee members and referees shall report to the competition area 2 days before the competition and 1 day before the competition for each participating team.




9、 Admission Ranking and Rewards




1. Rewards will be given to teams that rank in the top six of the A-level team, the top four of the B-level team, and the top three of the women's group.




2. The winner of the competition will be awarded a Master Score by the China Bridge Association after being reviewed by the China Bridge Association.




3. According to the "Jiangsu Bridge Association Member Technical Level Standards" in Jiangsu Province, corresponding master points will be awarded.




10、 The selection of the arbitration committee and the presiding judge shall be determined separately by the Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau.




11、 Matters not covered will be notified separately.
