Seniors Eligibility: Those players who will celebrate their 60th birthday in 2015 shall be eligible to participate. If necessary the age proof certificate may be asked for production

TRIALS FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2015

The following teams have qualified to play the selection trials to represent India in Bermuda Bowl 2015. The Selection trial will be held in New Delhi from 12^th August for five days at Tivoli Gardens, Chattarpur.

1. Formidable (Winner of Winter Nationals  Ahmedabad)
2. Texan Aces (Winner of Summer Nationals Nasik)
3. Bangur Cement (Winner  National Masters, Kolkata)
4. Indian Railways (Winner Interstate Championship Varanasi)
5. Hemant Jalan (Winner  Bhartia 2013 New Delhi)
6. Shree Cement (Runner Winter Nationals Ahmadabad)
7. Dhampur Sugar (Runner Summer Nationals)

All the above teams have confirmed their participation.

Seeding are as follows:

1. Winter National Winner 2. Summer National Winner 3.National Masters Winner 4.Inter State Championship Winner 5. Bhartia Winner 6. Winter National Runner 7. Summer National Runner.

Format/Schedule of the Trial:

1) 1 & 2 are seeded directly to the semi finals;

Day One (12^th August)

Seed 3 being fixed playing 16 boards each against seeds 4,5,6,7 in four sessions, remaining seeds in tandem will play Round Robin (Turner Movement) of 16 boards session with WBF continuous VP scoring. Eliminating the bottom team at the end of the day;

Day Two (13^th August) Quarter Final

Fresh seeding are as follows after Day One::
1st =3 rd ; 2nd= 4^th; 3^rd=5^th & 4^th=6^th;

Above teams  will play Quarter Final (KO) 3 vs 6 ( Table 1), 4 vs 5 (Table 2) in 4 sessions of 16 boards each; Winners of Table 1 will be Seed 3 and Table 2 Seed 4;

Day Three (14^th August) Semi Final

Seed 1 (Formidable) will meet winner of Table 2 of QF and Seed 2 (Texan Aces) will meet winner of Table 1 of QF for 6 sessions of 16 boards each (For one and half days);

Day Four (15^th August) Final (starts after completion of Semi final)

Winners of Semi Finals will play 6 sessions of 16 boards each (For one and half days)

Convention Cards have displayed on both sides of the table;

Each player has to play 50% boards in each segment to qualify for the next stage;

 Seniors’ Trial for d’Orsi Cup (Seniors Bowl) 2015 will be held from 16^th to 18^thSeptember 2014 at Lokmanya Seva Sangh, Ville Parle, Mumbai. It will be team event. Teams are requested to send their entries to the Secretary BFI along with the names of the players by 20^th August. Entry Fee Rs 30000.    ” Eligibility: Those players who will celebrate their 60th birthday in 2015 shall be eligible to participate. Federation also proposes to hold the Ladies trial for Venice Cup 2015 on the same dates and venue of the Seniors. You are requested to send the names for team and may be pairs also to the Secretary, BFI by 20^th August. On receiving the entries Federation will decide on the format.

Winner of the Selection Trials for all three segments in the World Championship 2015 to be held in Chennai will get a direct berth bypassing BEFAME
