AsianTest Games Update: Indian Mixed and SuperMixed Qualifies ; Men narrowly miss

After 3 Days of Qualifying Rounds, Indian Mixed Team ( Kiran Nadar, Bachiraju Satyanarayana, Marianne Karmarkar, Sandeep Karmarkar, Alka Kshirsagar, Abhijit Chakraborty ) and Indian SuperMixed Team (Ajay Khare, Raju Tolani, Feroza Chothia, Aparna Sain) made it to the Semi Final stage today.

In the last match, The Men team ( Jaggy Shivdasani, Rajeshwar Tewari, Pranab Kumar Bardhan, Shibnath Dey Sarkar, Koushik Mukherjee, Vikrant Mehta) had to win big against the favorites China to qualify but ended with a marginal win thereby falling short of the qualifying mark by 1.26 Vps. They will contest for the medals in the Pair events.

The draw for Semi Finals will be:

Mixed : India vs Singapore (16 boards x 3 segments)

SuperMixed: India vs Philippines (16 boards x 3 segments)

India has assured for 2 Bronze medals atleast with the above qualifications. We wish them more success for KO matches.

Indian Ladies team (Rupa Bakeri, Nita Banerji, Tara Laroia, Rita Bhagwati, Meenal Thakur, Lina Mayadas) finished 6th in their group.
