The annual Anhui Senior Citizens Bridge Tournament took place on May 12-14, 2017 in the Party School of the Xuancheng City Committee under the Jingting Mountain. A total of 20 teams participated in the competition, including 16 in the province and 4 in other provinces. The members of the participating teams are all over the age of sixty. They are retired and old comrades from various fronts. Li Hongta, vice chairman of the provincial CPPCC, also came to the battle with great interest. The competition was made in Switzerland and 9 rounds were played. The competition was intense and civilized. The Suzhou team played brave and even enemies in the game, and 9 rounds of strikes took the top spot with eight wins and one loss; the old bridge friends of Anhui, led by Xing Weimin and Zou Liwu, deputy chairman of the Provincial Bridge Association, fought. In six rounds, the points ranked sixth and the situation was precarious. The team summed up the lessons in a timely manner and adjusted its mentality. In the later rounds, the team cheered and rallied to win three games in a row and eventually won the silver medal for the 7VP team behind the Suzhou team. Three to five players won the Golden Eagle Senior Team, Maanshan Team, and Ann. Brigade.
