The first Haidian District Street Bridge Invitational Tournament was successfully held on January 7, 2017. This competition aims to strengthen the popularity and promotion of the bridge sport and allow Bridge to enter the street community and become part of the national fitness program. The competition was strongly supported by the Haidian District Sports Federation, and an invitation letter was issued in the form of red-headed documents to the district townships. A total of 16 streets were named, and since the events coincided with the time of the Red Bull Grand Prix, the actual entries also reached 12 blocks. After four rounds of 48 deck matches, Lotus Pool Street won the championship with an unbeaten record, Zizhuyuan Street won the runner-up, and the Capital Sports Teachers’ College community team took third place. After the match, the Secretary of the Examination Center of the Ministry of Education Liu Jie, the commander of the former military training base Xie Yong, and the chief editor of Bridge Magazine Fu Qiang respectively awarded the top three teams with trophies and prizes. Haihong District Bridge Association Secretary-General Liu Hong awarded the lucky prize to Zhichunlu Street Team and Suzhou Street Team who won the lucky prize. In 2017, this event will form Haidian District Three Bridges event together with the Haidian District B Class Club League and the Haidian District Basic Level Bridge Association Team Competition.
