On December 11, 2016, the Taiyuan Bridge Championship fell at Longquan Resort. Bridge enthusiasts from various industries and institutions formed 28 bridge teams for a three-day tense and orderly competition. On December 9th, a mixed team competition was held. A total of 8 teams took part in. After seven rounds of the round-robin competition, the Qiongcun team consisting of Sun Qiuxia, Zhang Fenglian, Li Wei, Zheng Lidong, Wei Gang and Ning Jun won the mixed team championship. The United Team and the Taiyuan Coal Trading Center team won the runner-up and third runners respectively

A public team competition was held on December 10-11. A total of 20 teams took part in the competition. After eight rounds of fierce competition from the Swiss shift, the Chuangyuan equipment consisting of Dong Xuan, Ning Jun, Wang Shan, Wang Jinghui, Zhang Jianguo and Wang Hao was formed. The team won the championship. Taiyuan Boiler Group 2 and Tianyi 4G won the runner-up and second runner-up respectively. The teams that won the 4th to 6th were Zhang Bi Castle Team, Steel Flower Team and Taiyuan Boiler Group Team. The competition was the last large-scale event organized by the Taiyuan Bridge Association in 2016. As the event was successfully held, the 2016 series of bridge games in Taiyuan successfully ended.
