The first “Kenten Cup” Senior Citizens Bridge Tournament in East China was held at the Hefei Shengda International Hotel from August 24th to 27th. 38 teams from around the country participated in the competition.
The competition will be divided into two stages. The first stage will be 7 rounds of qualifying and will be calculated according to 7 rounds of total score. In the second stage, the top 8 teams will play the elimination round. The remaining teams will be divided into A and B groups for 6 rounds. Swiss shifts, ranked by total score.
After a total of 13 rounds of matches, the longevity team won the championship. The two teams with 2 to 6 teams were Jiangsu Changzhou Laogan Team, Shanghai Changshou Team, Anhui Huainan City Team, Shanghai Changshou Bridge Friend and USL Team; the top six teams in Group A were: Huzhou Red Eagle, Anhui People's Congress, and Taizhou. Team, Huangshan Team, and Henan Longevity Team; the top four winners in Group B are: Taicang Team, Hefei Spring School, Anshi University Senior Team, and Hubei Changjiang Team.
As agreed by the coordination team for the East China Senior Citizens' Bridges Competition, the Second East China Senior Citizens Bridge Competition was sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Bridge Association at an appropriate time in 2017.
