The 2016 “Chairman Cup” public team competition organized by the Gansu Province Bridge Association was held on September 10-11, 2016 at the Gansu Provincial Bridge Association Activity Center. A total of 12 teams signed up to participate in the competition. After two days of fierce battle, the final champion was taken away by the old team of Lanzhou Iron Team. The Lanzhou Tianhe team entered the knockout round with the first preliminaries and lost the final match to the Lanzhou Iron Design. In order to prepare for the women's team of Lanzhou City, which is composed of seven provincial bridge championships in the western region, to compete in the tournament, the second place in the preliminaries was knocked into the knockout round. The semi-finals lost to the Lanzhou Railway, but played outstanding performance in the subsequent playoffs. In the final third place, Gansu Power Team won the fourth place.
