2016 "Zhongxing Mercedes-Benz Cup" Anhui Province Bridge Grade Event ended

In 2016, the "China Star Mercedes-Benz Cup" Anhui Bridge Grade Competition (Class A, Group B) was held at the Penghu Sunshine Peninsula Hotel from March 23 to March 27. The competition was hosted by the Anhui Bridge Association, organized by the Wuhu Bridge Association, the Hongyu Bridge Association Club, and the Penghu County Sports Bureau, co-organized by the Penghu Sunshine Peninsula Hotel, and was sponsored by Wuhu Zhongxing Automobile Sales Service Co., Ltd. The competition brought together a total of 141 athletes from 12 A and 12 B teams representing the highest level of Anhui Province. According to the competition rules, Class A Group A is a group cycle, semi-final and final three stages. Group A Group B is divided into two stages: team round-robin and upgrade and relegation elimination.

In the Class A Group A competition, the Wuhu Hongyu team led by Zhao Jian, chairman of the Provincial Bridge Association and Wuhu Bridge Association, made great strides in the group's round robin. The points were always ahead of the game. After 11 rounds of a single round, the first place and half of the preliminaries were won. The finals faced Anhui Zhengda, easily won and took the lead in the finals. In the final match with Xuanzhou, they were even more unstoppable. They took the lead with a big score of 81:9 and won the championship of the A-A tournament. The Xuanzhou team finished second. In the competition for three or four matches, the Anhui Zhengda team eventually defeated the HKUST alumni team with a slight advantage of 91:86.5 and won the third place in the A-A match. The Huaibei Bridge Team failed to play well in the group cycle, ranking the final and straight down A. In the relegation game, Anqing and Tongling team lost in the relegation game to their opponents and both fell to A.
