The 3rd "Drinking Water Siyuan Cup" Bridge Invitational Tournament was held on April 9, 2016 at the Youth House of Xi'an Jiaotong University.
Attendees of this event included Xi'an Jiaotong University Alumni, Executive Director and CEO of Geely Automobile Holdings Co., Ltd., Mr. Gui Shengyue, World Bridge Master of Lifetime, Xi'an Jiaotong University Alumni, member of China National Men's Bridge Team, and Yip's Cup Champion Sun Shaolin, Xi'an Jiaotong University alumnus, member of the Chinese National Women's Bridge team, and Ms. Wang Hongli, winner of the Venetian Cup. Three bridge masters and more than 50 bridge enthusiasts such as teaching staff, alumni and students of the Jiaotong University gathered together to learn about bridge art.
After six rounds of 48 card competitions, the post-graduate team composed of the active colleges Wang Yaqing and Zhao Xiangyuan, the Institute of Astronautics and the School of Electrical Engineering and Liu Xinhao of the School of Electrical Engineering won the championship. The second team and the third team of teaching staff won the runner-up and second runner-up respectively.
