The 2016 National Fitness Big New Year Bridge Doubles, jointly organized by the Culture and Education Committee of the Binhai New Area and the New District Bridge Association, was held at 1:30 pm on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year in Tanggu. Since it is during the seven-day long holiday, the number of participants is not too large. A total of 25 bridge enthusiasts participated in the competition, including one from the southern part of Caiyun, Kunming, who also participated in the competition. Before the first game of the Year of the Monkey, everyone paid a New Year greetings and exchanged greetings. Mr. Dong Xiyou, president of the New District Bridge Association, delivered a warm speech and Vice President Zhou Chuanwu announced the start of the competition. Yuan Shichang served as a referee. After five rounds of 20 cards, Zhou Chuanwu/Hu Zhongyu and Chen Hao/Qin Jun won the championships in the north-south and east-west directions respectively.
