Interstate Bridge Championships 2018 – BROCHURE

The Interstate Bridge Championships along with Juniors/Sub Juniors / Senior/ Women and Mixed National Championships will be held from 5 – 9^th September at MYSURU, Karnataka. We hereby request all the above dignitaries of the various states and affiliated bodies to kindly register their team for the upcoming Inter State Bridge Championships at the earliest.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS:

• The OPENING CEREMONY and REGISTRATION of TEAMS will be held on 4^th SEPT at 6 p.m. with Hi Tea and Refreshments.
• The last day of the tournament (9^th SEPTEMBER) will finish in afternoon at 1 p.m. for assisting participants in travelling back to Bengaluru.

QUALIFYING EVENT for WORLD BRIDGE TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS, 2019:

The Interstate Bridge Championships will conduct the following qualifying events for participants to qualify for the Selection trials for the upcoming World Bridge Teams Championships, 2019:

1. Bermuda Bowl
2. Venice Cup
3. Mixed Teams
4. Juniors Teams including Kids/Girls Championships (Only those JUNIORS who participate in this event will be considered for the next selection process for the upcoming World Youth Open Bridge Championships, 2019)

QUOTA OF TEAMS AND PAIRS:

As per the 2017 policy document for Interstate Championships, the quota for the participating states is allocated as below:

1)  3 Teams: West Bengal, Maharashtra

2)  2 Teams:, Delhi, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu,

3)  1 Team: All remaining states not covered in point (1) and (2)

4)  Affiliated Bodies: 1 Team

IMP Pairs Event: A state/affiliated body eligible for 1 team will have a quota to nominate 3 pairs to represent the state/affiliated body at the IMP Pairs event and so on.

The organizing association will have their quota of teams extended by additional 2 teams to the current status.

REGISTRATION AND ENTRY FEES:

All State Associations are requested to send their team and pair entries for this event latest by 15^th August 2018 along with payment of Entry Fees to BFI to:

SUBSIDIZED ACCOMMODATION:

 BFI is pleased to offer subsidized accommodation facilities to all the participating teams/pairs at a hotel nearby.

Limited  AC  Rooms on twin sharing basis are available at:

Hotel Ginger @ special rate of  Rs. 2500 per day including taxes and breakfast.

Mysore Sports Club @ Rs. 2400 per day  including taxes
