The 9th World University Bridge Championship will be held in October 2018. At that time, bridge students from home and abroad will gather at Xuzhou University of Technology to compete, learn and communicate with each other. As the host, a team of 5 members of the bridge team from our university, under the leadership of coach Zhang Nan on August 17, 2018, went to Wujiang, Suzhou, and together with Shanghai Jiaotong University for a 10-day training.

In the 2018 World University Bridge Championship, China will send three teams to participate, namely Xuzhou University of Technology, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Shandong University. After winning the Women's Group B championship in 2016, the Chinese College Student Bridge Championship won the Women's Group A Championship in 2017 and won the doubles championship many times.
Tianjin University had hosted the third World University Bridges Championship in 2006.This World University Bridge Championship is the second time that will be hosted in China.
