The 2006 Beijing Huayuan Real Estate Cup Beijing Bridge Grade Competition, jointly organized by the Beijing Bridge Association and Beijing Huayuan Real Estate Co., Ltd., ended on July 16th at the Ditan Gymnasium.
In this competition, a total of 65 teams from Grade A, Grade B and no grades in Beijing participated. Class A and Group B were single-cycle. After seven rounds of competition, Wang Kui and Li Shuyuan team entered the semi-final. In the end, Zhang Dezhong and Li Shuyuan eliminated their opponents and reached the final. In the final of 28 decks, Zhang Dezhong played well and caught the opponent's mistakes. In the first half, he won the game with a 61:11 advantage. In the second half, Li Shuyuan team tried to regain 13 points at 25:12. The first half fell behind too much. In the end, Zhang Dezhong won the championship and Li Shuyuan won the runner-up. The third place was the Flash Zhongming team.
The second grade of the second round of the preliminaries and finals of the He Weidong team, Meng Qingxin team, Zhu Jiaqi team and Deng Furen team won the top four, and entered the first class.
After the two stages of the Swiss shift and the round robin, the eight teams from the Chen Kaiping team were promoted to the second level.
This competition is the oldest and highest level traditional event in Beijing. Many national superb bridge masters participated in this competition and achieved good results. At the same time, the first-class semi-finals and finals were broadcast live on the BBO for the first time, allowing more bridge lovers to watch the game. Finally, the leaders of Huayuan Group and Shiqiao Association awarded trophies and prizes to the winners respectively.
