The 11th "Xinye Cup" Bridge Team Competition of Gansu Province was held at the Provincial Bridge Activity Center on November 18-19, 2006. In this competition, there were 86 players from 18 teams of Jinchuan Group and Lanzhou. The competition was held in two phases. The first phase was conducted in the Swiss Shift, with five rounds and 10 decks per round. The top four players in the Swiss Grand Prix entered the second stage for the knockout. The winning team decided to win the championship and the third team. The remaining teams will conduct another five rounds of the Swiss shift and decide on the rest. After fierce competition, the Gansu Sapphire Club team defeated the Lanzhou Yellow River Bridge team in the final with 86:65IMP, the Lanzhou Yellow River Bridge team won the runner-up, and the Gansu Jinchuan Group Company won the Gansu Province Metrology Research with 88:74IMP. The team won the third place, and the Gansu Provincial Metrology Institute team ranked fourth.
