"Xiquan Cup" 2007 The 18th Huaxia Friendship City Senior Bridge Team Competition was held on the morning of May 16th at Jiuquan Hotel, Jiuquan City, Gansu Province.
The competition was jointly sponsored by the Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau, the Jiuquan Municipal People's Government and the Gansu Provincial Sports Federation. The Gansu Provincial Bridge Association, the Jiuquan Municipal Sports Bureau and the Jiuquan Sports Association jointly sponsored the title of the Zhuang Xiquan Foundation. The competition was attended by 29 senior teams from Hong Kong, Taipei and the provinces and cities in the Mainland. The competition is divided into two phases: the first phase adopts the Swiss shift system, with a total of 9 rounds and 16 decks per round. 3 rounds per day, and finally sorted by the cumulative VP, the top eight entered the second stage. The second stage adopts a single elimination system, with a total of 3 rounds, 24 decks per round, and finally 1-8. All other teams that did not enter the top eight participated in the Swiss Shift Play-off. A total of 6 rounds were played, 12 decks per round, and the rankings after nine were ranked by cumulative VP. The competition will be completed on May 20th.
