According to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education, in order to promote quality education and prosper campus culture, our school will hold the "Seventh Peking University Chess and Card Special Students Winter Camp" during the winter vacation in 2009, and recruit chess and card students in the activities. At the same time, this chess and card winter camp will invite the Chinese Chess Academy, the Chess Branch of the China University Sports Association and the Bridge Branch as the instructors to hold the "3rd Middle School Student Chess and Card Invitational Tournament". The competition will be divided into three groups and two groups.
1. Winter camp activities
1. Target applicants: high school students who are both excellent in character and academics, with high chess and card expertise and professional level, but senior one and two students are not within the enrollment scope of the year.
Chess and card specialties: Chinese chess, international chess, go, bridge.
According to the current team structure of the chess and card team of Peking University, this competition will appropriately increase the candidate ratio of amateur players and female triathlon players in the Go group.
The competition is divided into two groups: (Note: mixed gender)
Group A: Senior third grade students
Group B: Grade One and Grade Two Students
2. Registration method: Online registration is implemented for this winter camp. Candidates are required to log in to the registration platform of Peking University Admissions Network (click to enter), register according to online requirements, fill in and print out the "Peking University 7th Chess and Card Special Students Winter Camp and 3rd Middle School Students Chess and Card Invitational Tournament Registration Form", after the middle school stamps, attach the relevant registration materials and send it to the Department of Culture and Sports of the Youth League Committee of Peking University. After the preliminary review of the candidates’ registration materials, our school will announce the results of the preliminary review on the Peking University Admissions website in the third week of December 2008. Candidates who have submitted the registration form are required to check online with their registered user name and password. Those who pass please print out the "Notice of the 7th Peking University Chess and Card Special Student Winter Camp and the 3rd Middle School Chess and Card Invitational Tournament" and follow the notice requirements to participate in Peking University Winter camp activities.

Application materials include:
(1) "Peking University Chess and Card Special Longevity Winter Camp and High School Student Chess and Card Invitational Registration Form" (photocopy is valid)
(2) Award certificates for participating in various chess and card competitions since junior high school (copy)
(3) The third group of high school must submit the national second-level (including second-level) athlete certificate (copy), and there is no limit to the second group
(4) The senior high school group must submit the transcript of cultural studies since high school (the copy and stamp are valid), and the high school group is not limited

Evaluation method for winter camp: For the students participating in the winter camp and middle school student chess and card tournament, they will be divided into four categories according to Chinese chess, chess, go, and bridge. Based on the principle of merit-based admission, for the winners in Group A, they will be reviewed and approved by the Peking University Chess and Card Special Students Winter Camp Organizing Committee and Technical Committee to obtain relevant certificates that qualify for preferential enrollment policies. Group B will not involve the recruitment of special talents, but will be jointly issued by the Admissions Office of Peking University and the Youth League Committee.

2. Preferential policy for enrollment of chess and card special students
For the third year students who passed the winter camp exams and finally obtained the relevant certificates, they can enjoy the preferential policy of admission within 50 points of Peking University's local admission score in the 2009 college entrance examination.
3. The rights and obligations of specialty students
For high school students who pass the winter camp exam, they will sign an agreement with Peking University on a voluntary basis. According to the agreement, the student can enjoy the preferential admission policy of Peking University after the college entrance examination. After entering Peking University, he will participate in the daily training of the school chess and card team as required, and participate in relevant competitions to win honor for the school.
4. The final interpretation of this method rests with the Admissions Office of Peking University and the Peking University Committee of the Communist Youth League.
