2021 Shanghai Team Bridge Sprint Competition Rules


1. Organizer: Shanghai Bridge Association

4. Competition time and place:


March-October 2021, online bridge circle network platform (preliminaries, semi-finals)


November 2021, tentatively scheduled to be held offline at Shanghai Pudong Hotel (final)

6. Participation method:


1. Good health, suitable for participating in bridge sports.


2. Must be a member of the Chinese Bridge Association, not limited to the Shanghai area, bridge enthusiasts from all over the country can freely form a team to register for the competition. In order to improve the competition of the event and avoid accidents, all sports teams and athletes that fail to qualify for promotion in the preliminary and semi-finals (first round) are allowed to continue to register for the next preliminaries; however, they are allowed to enter the first semi-finals. The victorious sports team and athletes can no longer participate in the remaining preliminaries. Violators will disqualify the sports team and athletes from continuing to participate in the competition.


3. Registration address: China Bridge Association. Each team can apply for 1 leader coach and 4-8 athletes.


4. There is no registration fee for all online and offline competitions.


5. For successful registration, the team leader must join the team leader of this cup and be responsible for coordinating the related matters of the competition.


7. Competition method:


(1) Preliminaries


1. Preliminaries will be held every month, which will be held in March, April, May, July, August and September. The specific competition time will be announced separately.


2. In order to facilitate online management, the principle of each preliminary match should not exceed 40 teams (in chronological order, until the quota is full). There are a total of seven rounds in each round, with 12 decks of cards in each round, and the top six will enter the semi-finals.


3. The preliminaries will be organized by points. The first round will be drawn by the chief referee's computer. In principle, teams that have met in the game will not repeat their matches.


(Two), semi-finals


1. There will be a total of two games in the semi-finals, which will be held in June and October respectively. The specific game time will be announced separately.


2. There are a total of 18 teams in each semi-final match, with a total of six rounds in each round, with 16 decks of cards in each round. The top four in the first rematch in June and the top five in the second rematch in October entered the final offline finals.


3. The semi-finals will still be organized by points. The first round will be drawn by the chief referee computer.


(Three), the final


1. According to the national epidemic prevention work, the competition is tentatively scheduled to be held offline. The venue of the competition: Shanghai Pudong Hotel.


2. There are a total of 10 teams in the final, and the host Bank of Shanghai team automatically enters the final. In the finals, one to eight places will be decided by a combination of points arrangement, knockout and round-robin competitions.


3. For offline competitions in the final stage, the organizing committee will issue additional rules for the competition, so stay tuned.


4. The transportation, board and lodging fees of each team in the offline finals will be borne by themselves.


5. The final competition will be held in November, and the specific competition time will be notified separately.


8. Competition rules:


1. The competition adopts the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association in 2018.


2. Finalists must submit the electronic version of the Chinese system card for reference as required.


3. The preliminary and semi-finals are online competitions. For specific requirements, relevant special regulations, competition discipline, competition supervision and other matters, we have made specific provisions in the supplementary rules.


4. This competition has a competition department, referee group and arbitration committee, responsible for competition organization, adjudication and arbitration during the competition.


9. Reward method:


(1) The winners of the finals will be awarded the China Bridge Association Network Master points according to the "China Bridge Association Member Technical Grade Standards", and the finals will be awarded the China Bridge Association Master points according to the "China Bridge Association Member Technical Grade Standards".


(2) The top three in the finals will be awarded trophies, and four to eight will be awarded certificates. The bonus is pre-tax and provided by the sponsoring unit.


Champion: 30,000 yuan, runner-up: 20,000 yuan

10. Entry requirements:


All participating teams should be self-disciplined, and promise to participate in the competition on the principle of fair competition, actively maintain the integrity, fairness and seriousness of the competition, and must not conduct any behavior that violates the spirit of sportsmanship. Regarding the issue of competition discipline, it will be dealt with in strict accordance with the "Chinese Bridge Association Interim Regulations on Competition Discipline" and its "Supplementary Regulations".
