(3) Class C teams in the open group: The Class C competition is limited to 40 teams. Teams that have paid in 2020 will have priority to reserve their places, and the remaining places will be subject to open registration.

7. Participation method
(1) The participating teams must be paid members of the Shanghai Bridge Association for the current year. Group members who have obtained the qualifications of Class A and Class B will also be eligible for one Class C, and no membership fee will be charged. Teams can go through the payment procedures for group membership at the time of registration.
(2) Each team can apply for 1 leader, 1 coach and 6 athletes. Athletes must be at least 18 years old and be individual members of the Chinese Bridge Association. Each athlete can only represent one team (regardless of grade, subject to online registration). If there are repeated registrations, the results of both teams will be invalid. If you need to change the team name, you must submit an application in advance, and the change can only be made with the approval of the Competition Committee of the Municipal Bridge Association.
(3) Registration date and fees
1. Service fee for A-level and B-level teams: 1,000 yuan;
2. Service fee for C-level teams: 800 yuan;
3. According to the "Shanghai Bridge Association Membership Fee Standards and Management Measures" (passed by the 1st meeting of the 8th General Assembly on August 11, 2020), the membership fee for member units is 2,000 yuan per year. The service fee of each participating team and the membership fee of the group member unit shall be collected by the Shanghai Bridge Association. Please remit the money to the designated account at the time of registration. Registration will be invalid if the service fee is not paid (please indicate the name of the participating team when remittance). 8. Competition method
(1) Open Division A team: divided into two stages
1. The first stage: single round preliminaries
According to the ranking after the promotion in the 2019 level competition, a single round-robin competition will be held, with 12 decks of cards in each round, and the 1-6th place in the round-robin competition will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Level Competition Super League. At the same time, the 1-4th place in the round-robin match will enter the semi-finals, the 7th-8th place in the round-robin match will enter the knockout stage 1-1, the 9th-10th place in the round-robin match will enter the knockout stage 1-2, and the 11-16th place in the round-robin match will enter the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class A class competition.
2. Stage 2: Knockout
Semi-finals: The first-place team in the round-robin has the right to choose an opponent among the third and fourth teams, and the second-place team has no right to choose an opponent. 24 sets of semi-final cards. The winners advance to the finals, and the losers advance to the 3rd and 4th place play-offs.
Knockout 1-1: The 7th and 8th place in the round robin play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Super League. The losers advance to the knockout rounds 2-1.
Knockout 1-2: The 9th and 10th place in the round robin will play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner will advance to the knockout round 2-1, and the loser will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class A Tournament.
Final: The winning team of the semi-final will play the 24-deck final. The winner is 1st and the loser is 2nd. 3rd and 4th place play-offs: The losing team in the semi-finals will play a 24-deck play-off. The winner is 3rd and the loser is 4th.
Knockout 2-1: The losing team in the knockout 1-1 will play 24 decks of cards with the winning team in the knockout 1-2. The winner will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Super League, and the loser will enter the 2022 Shanghai Team Championship. Bridge Class A Tournament.
(2) Open Division B teams: divided into two stages.

2. Stage 2: Knockout
Knockout 1-3: The 3rd and 4th place in the round robin play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class A Tournament. The losers advance to the knockout rounds 2-2.
Knockout 1-4: The 5th and 6th place in the round robin play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner advances to the knockout stage 2-2. The loser will enter the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class B Tournament.
Knockout 1-5: The 11th and 12th place in the round robin will play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner will enter the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class B Tournament. The losers advance to the knockout rounds 2-3.
Knockout 1-6: The 13th and 14th place in the round robin play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner goes to the knockout stage 2-3. The loser will be relegated to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Level C competition.
Knockout 2-2: The losing team from knockout 1-3 and the winning team from knockout 1-4 will play 24 decks of cards. The winner will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class A Tournament, and the loser will enter the 2022 Shanghai Team. The second class of the bridge tournament.
Knockout 2-3: The losing team from knockout 1-5 and the winning team from knockout 1-6 will play 24 decks of cards. The winner will enter the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class B Tournament, and the loser will be relegated to the 2022 Shanghai Ranking Tournament. Team Bridge Class C.
(3) Open Class C Teams: divided into two stages
1. Stage 1: Swiss Qualifying Tournament
The number of rounds and vices will be determined according to the number of registered teams, and the participating teams will not compete repeatedly. The 1st and 2nd places in the qualifying round will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class B Tournament.
2. Stage 2: Knockout
Knockout 1-7: The 3rd and 4th place in the qualifying round will play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class B Tournament, and the loser will advance to the knockout round 2-4.
Knockout 1-8: The 5th and 6th place in the qualifying round will play a 24-deck knockout round. The winner advances to the knockout stage 2-4.
Knockout 2-4: The losing team from knockout 1-7 will play 24 decks of cards with the winning team from knockout 1-8. The winner will advance to the 2022 Shanghai Team Bridge Class B Tournament.
(4) Calculation methods for each group
1. The single round-robin match between A and B teams will be settled by VP, with the higher team ranking first.
2. The Swiss-style qualifying match of the C-level team is settled by VP, and the higher team ranks first.
3. In the knockout rounds, the number of IMPs is compared, and the higher one ranks first.
If the results of the above groups are equal, the relevant provisions of Article 44 of the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" will be implemented.
(5) The competition adopts the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the Chinese Bridge Association in 2018 and the 2020 "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules Supplementary Regulations".
(6) The competition organization of this competition is presided over by the competition department and the chief referee.
(7) Each pair of contestants must fill in the contract card in Chinese in detail. Those who do not have the contract card will be at a disadvantage in the judgment.
(8) All competitions use computer prefabricated cards and use an electronic entry system.
(9) An arbitration committee will be set up in this competition to make final rulings on disputes arising from technology and other aspects in the competition.
9. Rewards
The teams that won 1-4 in the A-level team, the 1-2 in the B-level team, and the 1-2 in the C-level team were awarded certificates and bonuses respectively, and the 1-3 in the A-level team were awarded trophies. This competition declares the master points of the Chinese Bridge Association according to the regulations.
