Hangzhou 16th Bridge League Competition Regulations


1. Date and place of the competition (the specific time and place are determined by the supplementary regulations)


From April 2021 to November 2021, the 16th Hangzhou Bridge League will be held. The competition is divided into sub-stations and finals.


(1) Sub-station competition: It will be divided into five stations.


The first stop: April 17-18, 2021 Gongshu District Station


Second stop: May 29-30, 2021 Xihu District Station


The third stop: June 19-20, 2021 Shangcheng Station


Fourth stop: September 18-19, 2021 Binjiang District Station


Fifth stop: October 23-24, 2021 Jianggan District Station


(2) Finals: from November 13th to 14th, 2021, it will be hosted by Yuhang District and Fuyang District. The venue is to be determined.


(3) The method of contract bridge competition for the junior group will be determined according to the registration situation.


2. Organizer


Sponsor: Hangzhou Municipal Sports Bureau.


Organizer: Hangzhou Bridge Association, relevant district, county (city) Culture, Broadcasting, Tourism and Sports Bureau, and Bridge Association.

4. Competition method


(1) Members of the city's districts, cities, counties and Hangzhou Bridge Association and bridge enthusiasts team up to participate. (Registration according to the venue, until the registration is full).


(2) At least 4 members of the team must be members of Hangzhou Bridge Association.


(3) For each sub-station and finals, each team can apply for one team leader, one coach, and six athletes; one athlete can only participate in the competition on behalf of one team in the same competition.


(4) The 8 districts hosting the sub-station competition and the finals and the other 4 teams with the highest cumulative qualifying points in the five-station sub-station competition, a total of 12 teams will enter the finals.


5. Competition method


(1) Sub-station competition


There are 5 sub-stations in total, and each station is divided into two stages.


1. Stage 1: Qualifying


The competition is organized by points, and there are 5 rounds of 10 decks of cards in each round. The ranking of each team is ranked by cumulative VP. Take the top 8 to enter the second stage of the total victory points arrangement competition. The first round of each station is arranged according to the ranking of the previous station 1-2, 3-4, 5-6... (The first round of the first station is ranked according to the ranking of the 2020 finals). The second round and subsequent rounds are arranged according to the principle of high score for high score.


2. The second stage: divided into two parts: the total victory points arrangement competition and the additional points arrangement competition


(1) Complete victory points arrangement competition


The top 8 teams in the qualifying rounds will play three rounds of scoring competition. The winning team will be the first, and the remaining teams will be ranked by VP. The first round will be arranged in a U-shape according to the ranking of the qualifying rounds, and the next two rounds will be arranged according to the principle of winning team and winning team, losing team and losing team and high score to high score. There are 16 cards per round.


(2) Additional Points Arrangement Competition


The 9th and later teams in the qualifying rounds will enter the additional points arrangement competition, and three rounds of competition will be held. The high score arranges the principle of high score. There are 16 cards per round. The top four are 9-12 in the race.


3. The first place in the race will get 13 qualifying points, the second place will get 11 qualifying points, the third place will get 10 qualifying points, and so on to the twelfth place, and the thirteenth and later will get each. 0.5 ranking points.


(2) Finals


1. The 12 teams participating in the finals will adopt a single round-robin competition, and the 1-12 ranking will be determined based on the accumulated VP of the eleven rounds.


2. The cumulative ranking points of the five-station race will be 13 points for the first place, 11 points for the second place, 10 points for the third place, and so on. The first place in the finals gets 13 points, the second place gets 11 points, the third place gets 10 points, and so on. 120% of the qualifying points in the races plus the qualifying points in the finals will finally determine the ranking of the finals.


3. In the event of the same score between the sub-events and the finals, Article 44 of the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the Chinese Bridge Association in 2018 shall be dealt with. If there is a tie in the sum of the qualifying points of the races and the finals, the one with the most points in the races will be ranked first.


6. Competition procedure


(1) Players participating in the competition must bring a written Chinese system card to the table in duplicate.


(2) It is forbidden to use the yellow bidding system and the brown convention bid. Psychological calls protected by the system are brown convention calls.


(3) Reminders should be reminded on both sides of the screen regarding the contract, and questions and explanations must be in the form of written questions and written answers.


(4) Each pair of partners can only use mental bidding in one deck of cards at most in each round. The agreed artificial forced opening is prohibited from being used for psychological bidding.


(5) The game shall be scored by computer prefabricated game cards and electronic information collection equipment. At the end of the game, players from both sides should check the results of the entire round of the table before leaving the table. Otherwise the score may not be increased.


(6) Implement the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" and "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules Supplementary Regulations" approved by the Chinese Bridge Association in 2018 (2020)


7. Ranking and Rewards


Prizes will be awarded to the top 12 in both the races and the finals. The awards for the finals of the friendly competition will be stipulated separately.


8. Registration and Registration


(1) The registration deadline is six days before the start of each competition.


(2) Arrive one hour before the start of each race.


9. Discipline and Etiquette


(1) Discipline and Etiquette Implement the provisions of Chapter VI of the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules".


(2) The top four teams shall have at least 4 members participating in the award ceremony, with 1 player less than half of the bonus deducted, and 2 or more less than 2 players deducted the entire bonus. The remaining team winners shall have at least 2 members, otherwise the bonus will be cancelled.


(3) Pay attention to keeping the arena clean and tidy, do not litter, and put an end to uncivilized behavior.
