Competition rules

1. Competition date and place

Dates: January 7 to January 9, 2011.

Location: Guoshang HNA Business Hotel, No. 38, Datong Road, Haikou City, Hainan Province.

5. Participation method

   1. Male and female members of the Chinese National Bridge Team; domestic Class A and Class A club players;

2. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan bridge associations and club teams;

3. Representative teams from various provinces, cities, districts and local bridge associations in China; bridge enthusiasts across the country can also form teams freely;

4. Bridge lovers in Hainan Province.

The total number of participating teams is 48. Each team is limited to 2 2010 Class A club players. Register in order of registration until full. (Foreign bridge team of Hainan Province has priority to register)

6. Competition method

1. Competition method; the competition is divided into four stages;

The first stage of qualifying; the Swiss system is used for the competition, a total of 7 rounds, 8 decks of cards in each round, and the ranking of each team is ranked by the accumulated VP points.

The second stage of promotion and relegation; according to the ranking of the first stage, it is divided into three groups. 1-16 in group A, 17-32 in group B, and 33-48 in group C. The participating teams will bring their own VP75% from the first stage to the second stage. Each group will play 5 rounds of Swiss competition, with 8 decks of cards in each round. The VP ranking of each group will be accumulated in two stages; the bottom 4 teams in group A will be relegated to group B; the bottom 4 teams in group B will be relegated to group C; the top 4 teams in group B will be promoted to group A; the top 4 teams in group C will be promoted to group A The famous team will be promoted to Group B; the promoted team from Group B/C will bring the VP90% obtained from the 5 rounds of the second stage plus the VP brought in the first stage into the previous group. Teams that have met in the first stage are allowed to play against each other again in this stage, but only one match is allowed in this stage.

The third stage of promotion and relegation; each group will play 5 rounds of Swiss competition, each round of 8 decks. The VP rankings of each group are based on the first three stages; the bottom 4 teams in group A are relegated to group B; the bottom 4 teams in group B are relegated to group C; the top 4 teams in group B are promoted to group A; the top 4 teams in group C are promoted to group A; The 4th place team will be promoted to Group B; the promoted team from Group B/C will bring the VP90% obtained in the 5th round of the third stage plus the VP obtained in the first two stages into the previous group. Teams that have met in the previous two stages are allowed to play against each other again in this stage, but only one match is allowed in this stage.

The fourth stage; each group will play 5 rounds of Swiss competition, each round of 8 decks. Teams that have met in the previous stage are allowed to play against each other again in this stage, but only one match is allowed in this stage.

The final ranking; the rankings will be admitted according to the cumulative scores of each group in the fourth stage.

2. Adopt the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" and "Chinese Bridge Association Double Contract Bridge Judgment Law (Trial)" approved by the Chinese Bridge Association.

3. The competition team and the chief referee will preside over the drawing of lots.

4. Players participating in the competition must bring two copies of the agreed card to the table.

7. Rewards

1. Total bonus; RMB 150,000

Group A will reward the top 8; the first place is 50,000 yuan; the second place is 25,000 yuan; the third place is 12,000 yuan; the fourth place is 8,000 yuan; the fifth place is 6,000 yuan; the sixth place is 5,000 yuan; the seventh place is 4,000 yuan; 4,000 yuan for eight;

Group B will reward the top six; the first place is 10,000 yuan; the second place is 6,000 yuan; the third place is 4,000 yuan; the fourth place is 3,000 yuan; the fifth place is 2,000 yuan; the sixth place is 2,000 yuan;

Group C will reward the top four; the first place is 4,000 yuan; the second place is 2,000 yuan; the third place is 1,500 yuan; the fourth place is 1,500 yuan;

2. The members of the Chinese Bridge Association who have won the ranking can obtain the corresponding master points according to the relevant regulations of the Chinese Bridge Association.

5. Participating teams and athletes are responsible for their own travel expenses. (The organizing committee can help to order discounted Hainan Airlines tickets)

6. All teams will report to Haikou Guoshang HNA Business Hotel on January 6th.

In order to ensure the safety of the participating teams and athletes, the organizing committee will arrange accommodation and meals in a unified manner, and each team will be responsible for the expenses. If the registered team does not obey the organizing committee's unified arrangement of accommodation and meals, the organizing committee will not accept the team's registration and participation. The hotel standards are as follows;

Guoshang Hotel (four-star): 520 yuan for senior double standard (260 yuan per person), 420 yuan for senior single room, 580 yuan for senior suite;

Metropolitan Hotel (four-star); senior double standard 460 yuan (230 yuan per person), senior single room 360 yuan, senior suite 480 yuan;

The above price includes breakfast, lunch and dinner.

9. The chief referee shall be the national referee Cao Zhihua.

10. There is no arbitration committee in the competition. When there is a dispute over the referee's decision, the chief referee can change the decision after fully consulting and listening to relevant opinions.
