Competition Rules of 2011 National Bridge Championship for Middle School Students

2、 Time and place of competition

Time: August 5-9, 2011

Venue: Beijing Yucai School

3、 Competition items

High school group and junior high school group team competitions; High school group, junior high school group doubles.

4、 Entry method

The education departments (bureaus and education commissions) of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government are responsible for the registration work in their respective regions.

（1） Number of entries

1. Each province, autonomous region, and municipality directly under the Central Government may report to a team in the name of the province, autonomous region, and municipality directly under the Central Government to participate in the team competitions of the senior high school group and the junior high school group.

2. Each middle school can form a team independently in the name of a middle school and apply for one team to participate in the team competition of the corresponding category.

3. The unit that registers for the team competition can allow two pairs of team members to participate in the corresponding group of doubles. Units that have not registered to participate in the team competition can register for one pair to participate in the corresponding category of doubles.

（2） Entry conditions

1. Students from ordinary secondary schools, secondary vocational schools, and secondary professional and technical schools who have formal student status as athletes participating in the high school group competitions.

2. The athletes participating in the junior high school group must be the students of the ordinary junior high school with official student status.

3. Contestants must be healthy and pass the culture course examination, comply with the relevant regulations of the school.

（3） Entry method

1. Each team can report one leader, one coach and four to six athletes for team competitions. The representative team that has only registered for the doubles can report one leader and coach and two athletes.

2. All participants must apply for "personal accident insurance" at the local insurance company (including during the competition and on the way to and from the competition). Athletes need to bring their student cards and personal accident insurance policies when registering.

3. The participation expenses shall be in accordance with the expenditure standards of the current national regulations on sports competitions. Each team shall pay 100 yuan for board and lodging per person per day when reporting for duty, and the travel expenses shall be borne by itself.

5、 Measures for Initial Registration

（1） The person in charge of the school where the athlete belongs logs in to the school sports competition registration management system (education website: 202.205.109.196 Netcom/Telecom: 211.151.94.148) to register the athlete online. After the online audit of the Education Department (Education Commission) where the athlete belongs, the person in charge of the registration of the Joint Secretariat of the Student Sports Federation of the Ministry of Education will approve and issue the registration card.

When registering, it is required to fill in the athlete's information, registration period, upload the athlete's photo, ID card, student card scanning copy, etc.

（2） Registration fee: In accordance with the provisions of the Measures for the Administration of the Registration of National Student Athletes, each registered athlete will be charged a cost and handling fee of 20 yuan/year.

（3） The registration deadline is one month before the competition, and the online registration time shall prevail. If it is overdue, it will not be accepted and will not enter the competition.

6、 Competition method

（1） The competition shall be in accordance with the Chinese Bridge Competition Rules approved by the China Bridge Association and the Double Entry Contract Bridge Referee Law of the China Bridge Association (Trial).

（2） The competition strictly implements the regulations on punishment of violation of discipline in Chinese middle school students' sports competitions.

（3） The competition is presided over by the competition team and the referee.

（4） Competition method

1. If the teams of one group fail to reach 8, they will be merged into one group for competition.

2. The specific competition method shall be determined according to the registration.

7、 Registration and check-in

（1） Registration: Each participant shall affix the school seal on the application form and send it to the Competition Management Department and the competition area of the Joint Secretariat of the Student Sports Association of the Ministry of Education before July 10, 2011. Overdue will be deemed as waiver (subject to the local postmark date).

（2） Login the online registration system of the 2011 National Middle School Bridge Championship（ http://218.64.180.165/bm/bm.asp ）Fill in registration information and upload photos.

（3） Athletes participating in the competition must be officially registered with the Joint Secretariat of the Student Sports Association of the Ministry of Education, and have obtained the Registration Card of Chinese Middle School Athletes after examination.

（4） Registration: Each team will report to the competition area on August 4, 2011.

（5） Bus route

1. Take No. 832 bus at the south square of Beijing West Railway Station and get off at the overpass station. Walk 820 meters to the north gate of Xiannongtan.

2. Take Bus No. 729 or 122 at Beijing Railway Station and get off at Xiannongtan Station, then walk 1.2 miles to the north gate of Xiannongtan. Take No. 120 bus to the west gate of Tiantan Park and walk 930 meters to the north gate of Xiannongtan.

8、 Rewards

（1） The top 8 will be awarded with certificates.

（2） All athletes participating in the competition will be registered as individual members of the China Bridge Association.

（3） Master points shall be awarded to the winners in accordance with the relevant provisions of the China Bridge Association.

9、 The method for selecting referees and arbitration committees shall be separately prescribed.

10、 The right of interpretation of this regulation belongs to China Middle School Sports Association and China Bridge Association.

11、 Matters not covered herein shall be notified separately.
