2011 Tongxiang "Tongkun Cup" Bridge Invitational Competition Rules

1、 Competition form: Open team competition

2、 Time and place of competition

Time: From July 1 to 3, 2011, each team will start the competition at 18:30 on July 1. Venue: Tongxiang International Hotel (at the intersection of Zhenxing Middle, Qingfeng Middle Road, Tongxiang City).

3、 Participating teams: invite players from Zhejiang Province and Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, limited to 32 teams.

4、 Competition method:

The first stage: the round robin competition, made in Switzerland, will be held for 7 rounds, each round will have 12 pairs of cards, ranking according to the accumulated VP (after the Swiss system, the host Tongkun team will not compete with the teams in front of the ranking as much as possible). The top 7 winners in the round robin will enter the second phase of the knockout competition. The teams that have not entered the second phase of the knockout match will continue to compete in Switzerland.

The second stage: the elimination match. With Tongkun Team and the top 7 teams in the round robin match, a total of 8 teams entered the elimination match.

(1) Quarter final: Tongkun Team, as the No. 4 seed team, will not compete with the top 3 teams in the round robin competition, and the top 3 teams in the round robin competition will choose their opponents from the top 5-8 teams in turn. 16 pairs of cards in the elimination match, and the winning team will enter the 1/2 finals; The negative team takes part in the Swiss competition (with the average VP of the top 4 players in the first round of the Swiss competition).

(2) 1/2 finals: The four winning teams in the 1/4 finals enter the semi-finals. The team with the highest score in the round robin can choose the opponent from the teams ranked 3 or 4. 16 pairs of cards in the 1/2 final, and two winning teams enter the final; The losing team will participate in 3-4 play offs.

(3) Final: 16 pairs of cards in the final. The winning team is the champion and the losing team is the runner up. There are 16 sets of cards in the play off, the winning team is the third and the losing team is the fourth.
