Pennington elected district VP of American Contact Bridge League

David Pennington of Temple was recently elected second vice president of the American Contract Bridge League (ABCL) District 16 Board at a recent meeting in Houston. The ABCL is the largest contract bridge organization in North America and sponsors games and tournaments throughout the region. It is member of the World Bridge Federation.

The organization covers all of Canada, the United States, Mexico and Bermuda and is divided into 25 districts. District 16 is the largest district geographically and includes all of Mexico and Texas. Pennington has served on the board for eight years, representing Central Texas.

A Temple native, Pennington has served in the community as high school band director , Texas Music Educators Association president and state band chair (while teaching), Temple Independent School District board member and Cultural Activities Center director.
