2021 National Bridge Class A Club League Competition Rules

1. Competition date and location


(1) Sub-station competition


1. The first stop: from April 7th to 11th in Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province.


2. The second stop: June 21-27 will be held in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province.


(2) Finals


It will be held in Taicang City, Jiangsu Province from November 22nd to 28th.

4. Participating Units


A bridge club officially registered in the China Bridge Association in 2021.


5. Participation method


(1) All participating athletes must be registered athletes of the China Bridge Association in 2021 and be non-arrears individual members of the China Bridge Association. The representative qualifications of participating athletes are subject to the category A clubs registered in 2021. Supplementary registered athletes (including foreign athletes) who have not represented the club in this year’s league tournaments shall not participate in the finals.


(2) The athletes of each team must have at least 4 full-time players registered with the Chinese Bridge Association.


(3) In each participating sports team, no more than 2 foreign athletes can participate in each station.


(4) Sub-station competition: Each club sends 1 team to participate. For each race, each team can report one leader, one coach, and 4-6 athletes.


(5) Finals: The top 4 clubs in the total scores of the sub-stations will each send a team to participate. Each team can report one leader, one coach, and 4-6 athletes.


(6) Each team shall pay for the participation fee.


6. Competition method


(1) Sub-station competition


1. The first stop: single round robin. There are 3 games every day, each with 16 decks of cards, ranked by VP points.


2. The second stop: two stages


The first stage: single round robin. There are 3 games every day, each with 16 decks of cards, ranked by VP points. After accumulating VP points in the two stations, the top 4 entered the finals and 13-16 participated in the play-offs.


The second stage: play-offs


(1) The first round of elimination


Knockout 1-1: The 13th and 14th players will play 48 pairs of games, divided into 3 quarters, each with 16 cards, and the IMP will determine the winner. The winning team retains the qualification of the A club, and the losing team enters the knockout 2-1.


Knockout 1-2: 15 and 16 players will play 48 pairs, divided into 3 quarters, each with 16 cards, and the IMP will determine the winner. The winning team enters the knockout 2-1, and the losing team suspends their qualifications for the A club.


(2) The second round of elimination


Knockout 2-1: The losing team of the knockout 1-1 and the winning team of the knockout 1-2 will play 48 matches. The winning team retains the qualification of the A club, and the losing team suspends the qualification of the A club.


(2) Finals: double-loss knockout


The winning zone has 96 pairs per game, divided into 6 quarters, 16 pairs per quarter; the losing zone has 64 pairs per game, divided into 4 quarters, 16 pairs per quarter. Each game is determined by IMP. The IMP is the same, and the team with the highest ranking in the sub-station wins.


1. The first round of elimination: the first team in the sub-station has the right to choose opponents from the second two teams. The winning team enters the second round of the elimination zone, and the losing team enters the second round of the elimination zone.


2. The second round of elimination: the winning team in the winning zone enters the final, and the losing team enters the losing zone of the third round of elimination. The winning team from the losing zone enters the third round of the elimination round and is fourth in the total score of the losing queue.


3. The third round of knockout: the winning team enters the finals, and the losing team ranks third in the total score.


4. Finals: The winning team wins the championship and the losing team wins the runner-up.


(3) The competition adopts the "China Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association in 2018 and the "Supplementary Regulations on China Bridge Competition Rules" (2020).


(4) The complete electronic version of the Chinese system cards and their attached pages of all teams must be sent to ccba@sport.gov.cn during registration.


(5) Each pair of players brings two copies of the Chinese system card and the full version of the attached page to the table during the game.


7. Admission Ranking and Rewards


(1) The total score will be awarded to the top 6 certificates, among which the top 3 will be awarded medals.


(2) The top 3 winners in each station of the sub-station competition will be awarded medals and certificates.


(3) Master points


1. Ranking points


The sub-stations will be awarded ranking points according to 30% of the master points of the finals. The finals will be awarded to the Masters of the China Bridge Association according to the "Technical Grade Standards for the Members of the China Bridge Association".


2. Winning points


In the round-robin stage of the sub-stations, each win will get 2 master points, and a tie will get 1 master point.


(4) Bonuses


1. Winning prize


The winning team in the round-robin stage of the sub-stations will receive 1,000 yuan, and the tie will each receive 500 yuan.


2. The prize money of the finals shall be implemented in accordance with the supplementary regulations.


8. The generation of league places


(1) Two places will be generated through the A-type club league qualifiers, and they will be eligible for the 2022 National Bridge A-type Club League. Both teams must register as members of the Chinese Bridge Association A-type clubs in 2022, and retain those who participate in the qualification matches. No less than 4 athletes with an appearance rate of more than 50% shall serve as full-time club players.


(2) The teams participating in the Qualifying Tournament include:


1. The two clubs whose qualifications are suspended in the A club league in 2021. The athletes participating in the above clubs must be replaced, and only one pair of registered players of the club is allowed to remain. The athletes to be replaced shall not be athletes who have participated in the 2021 National Bridge Class A Club League.


2. 2021 National Bridge Club Championships Men's Grade A relegation team and Men's Grade B promotion team. No athletes from the above teams must have participated in the 2021 National Bridge A Club League, and no less than 4 athletes with an appearance rate of more than 50% must be retained.


3. The qualifying competition will be held at the same time as the finals. The competition method will be determined according to the registration situation.


4. Except for the two clubs whose qualifications are suspended, if no other teams (the teams in the category in paragraph 2 of this article, the same below) sign up, no qualifying matches will be held, and the two A-type clubs in the 2022 league will be vacant; if there is no suspension If the qualifying club signs up and the number of registered teams does not exceed 2, the qualifying match will not be held, and the registered team will directly get the A club quota; if there is only one suspended club and one other team signing up, the qualifying match will be between the two teams Unfolding, only 1 category A club place will be generated.


IX. Participation in the Friendship Competition


The sub-station competition decides whether to hold the friendship competition at the same time according to the situation. In principle, each station does not exceed 20 teams. The participating units and qualifications are as follows:


(1) Participating unit


1. For clubs participating in the league of the year, each club can send 1 team;


2. 1 team of the undertaking unit;


3. Team 1 of the title sponsor of the competition;


4. A team assigned by the China Bridge Association.


(2) Qualifications


Each Type A club must meet at least one of the following three conditions to participate in the Friendship Tournament:


1. Club sponsors participate in the competition, and the attendance rate must reach 1/3;


2. There is 1 pair of athletes registered in the club participating, and the attendance rate of each person must reach 1/3;


3. There is a pair of athletes under the age of 35 participating, and the attendance rate of each athlete must reach 1/3.


10. Registration and check-in


(1) Registration


1. Each unit must submit the registration form to the China Bridge Association and the competition area 20 days before the start of each competition.


2. League registration fee: 5000 yuan per team for the first stop, second stop and finals (including qualifying rounds). The registration fee is collected by the organizer and used to subsidize the lack of competition funds.


3. Change list


(1) Within 10 days after the registration deadline, each team can submit a written form to the China Bridge Association to change the list (including addition, reduction, change of athletes, correction of registration errors, etc.).


(2) If you change the name list 10 days after the registration deadline, you must fill in the change list application form and submit it to the competition group before the start of the first game. A handling fee of 100 yuan will be charged for each change.


(2) The referee reports 2 days before the game, and the participating teams report 1 day before the game.


11. The methods for the selection and appointment of referees and arbitration committees shall be formulated separately.


12. Other


(1) The participating teams must purchase personal accident insurance (including during the competition and on the way back and forth).


(2) The team leader meeting is scheduled to be held at 20:30 one day before the game, and each team must be attended by the team leader or coach.


(3) Matters not covered will be notified separately.
