Rules for the Bridge Competition of the Mass Sports Group of the 12th Gansu Provincial Games

1. Sponsor: Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau.

2. Organizer: Qingyang Municipal People's Government.

3. Competition time and place:

It was held in Lanzhou from June 20 to July 1, 2010.

4. Participating units:

All relevant departments directly under the province, all enterprises and institutions in the province (including the central units in Gansu), various industry sports associations, sports clubs, colleges and universities, private (joint venture) enterprises or regional teams.

5. Competition items:

Open Team, Women's Team, Women's Doubles, Open Doubles.

6. Participation method:

(1) Number of applicants for the team competition: 1 team leader, 1 coach, and 4-6 athletes per unit; units that did not participate in the team competition can apply for 2 athletes for the double competition.

(2) Athletes can only represent one unit to participate in the competition.

7. Athlete Qualifications:

(1) Athletes must provide the second-generation official resident ID card of Gansu Province.

(2) Athletes must obtain a registration qualification certificate issued by the Provincial Sports Bureau before the competition.

(3) Age requirements:

The participating athletes are over 18 years old (born before December 31, 1992).

(4) Those who have been certified by the hospital at or above the county level to be in good health (registration must be stamped with the official seal of the hospital).

(5) All participating athletes must submit the registration certificate issued by the Provincial 12th Games Athlete Qualification Examination Committee before they can participate in the competition.

(6) Others shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "General Rules of the Twelfth Games of Gansu Province Competition Regulations" and "Measures of the Qualification Examination of Athletes of the Twelfth Games of Gansu Province".

8. Competition method:

(1) Implement the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the Chinese Bridge Association, the "Chinese Bridge Association Double Contract Bridge Judging Law (Trial)" and the supplementary regulations for bridge competitions in Gansu Province.

(2) Competition system:

Open Team Tournament: Divided into two stages, the first stage uses the Swiss shift to determine the top four or eight teams to enter the final. The second stage consists of the knockout rounds for the top four or eight teams and the Swiss shift play-offs for the remaining teams. The serial number of each team is determined according to the ranking of the previous session, and the remaining teams are determined by drawing lots.

Women's team competition: single or double round-robin system is adopted according to the number of registered teams (the competition will be cancelled if there are less than three teams).

Open Pairs and Ladies Pairs (less than three tables will be cancelled). Both use the Mitchell shift format.

(3) The use of psychological bidding is prohibited. Unusual bidding systems such as weak opening bids and highly unconventional (brown convention) convention bids are prohibited.

(4) Each team member is required to have a contract card.

9. The method of deciding the ranking:

(1) Open Team Competition:

1. The Swiss Shift Tournament is ranked by the sum of accumulated VPs;

2. In the knockout round, the winner will be determined by the amount of IMP between the relevant teams;

(2) The ranking of women's team competition is based on the total accumulated VP.

(3) The rankings of the north-south group and the east-west group will be ranked according to the total accumulated MP.

10. Admission ranking, scoring and awards:

(1) The top eight teams will be admitted to each competition, and the scores will be 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1. If the number of participating teams (pairs) is not enough, the scores will be higher.

(2) Those who are admitted will be rewarded according to the "Incentive Measures for the Twelfth Games of Gansu Province".

(3) The "Sports Morality Award" shall be implemented according to the "Sports Morality Award Selection Method of the 12th Gansu Provincial Games".

11. Registration and Registration:

(1) All units and athletes participating in the competition in their own name are requested to send the registration form (must indicate the athletes participating in the event) in duplicate to the Competitive Sports Office of Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau before May 23 (subject to the date of receipt of the postmark). (2) All teams, athletes and referees who compete in their own names should report to the competition area one day before the competition, and the chief referee two days before the competition.

12. Referees and Arbitrators:

(1) Referees and arbitrators will be selected by the Provincial Sports Bureau. The specific measures and relevant requirements will be notified separately.

(2) The responsibilities of the Arbitration Committee shall be implemented in accordance with the Regulations of the Arbitration Committee issued by the State Sports General Administration.

Thirteen, other:

(1) All units should arrange their own meals and lodging at their own expense.

(2) Those who violate the athlete's qualifications and disciplinary regulations shall be punished according to the relevant regulations of the conference.

(3) Matters not covered will be added separately.

14. The interpretation and modification of this regulation belongs to the Gansu Provincial Sports Bureau.
