2010 Competition Regulations for the Bridge Invitational Tournament in Cities along the Yangtze River

1. Competition date and place:

Competition Dates: November 16 to November 20, 2010

Competition Venue: Howard Johnson Jiangcheng Pearl Hotel, Wuhan City, Hubei Province (five-star)

2. Organizer: Hubei Provincial Sports Bureau, China Bridge Association

3. Competition items:

 Open Team, Swiss, Invited Doubles

4. Competition method:

(1) The Open Team Competition will be divided into two stages: preliminaries and finals.

      Preliminary stage: Swiss system, 9 rounds, 16 decks of cards in each round, ranking according to VP cumulative ranking.

Final stage: The top 8 teams in the preliminaries will play the quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals and play-offs. Each round will be divided into two quarters with 32 decks of cards.

(2) Switzerland Tournament: The 9th and later teams in the preliminary round of the Open Team Tournament will have 6 rounds of competitions, in the Swiss system, with 16 decks of cards in each round, and the ranking will be determined according to the cumulative VP.

(3) Invited doubles competition: The competition method will be determined separately.

(4) To implement the "Chinese Bridge Competition Rules" approved in 1999 and the "Chinese Bridge Association Double Contract Bridge Judge Law" promulgated in 2006.

(5) The use of the HUM system is prohibited. Brown conventions are prohibited in Swiss Shifts, and fully disclosed brown conventions are permitted in playoffs.

(6) Each player must prepare a contract card and bring it to the table during the game.

V. Participation method:

The invited cities (prefecture-level cities) along the Yangtze River will form a team to participate, and the household registration in this city shall prevail. However, the number of players in each team who have participated in the 2010 National Bridge Class A Club League shall not exceed 2. Each team can report 1 leader (or coach) and 4-6 athletes.

 2. Invited double competition objects: specially invited leaders, specially invited guests, leaders of participating cities and team leaders, etc.

6. Entry Fees

(1) Registration fee: RMB 1,000 per team.

(2) Room and board fee: RMB 260 per person per day, less than part of the conference subsidy.

(3) Each team is responsible for its own expenses.

 

7. Rewards:

(1) Set a total bonus of RMB 271,900. Prize money will be awarded to the top 8 teams in the team competition, prize money will be awarded to the top 6 teams in the Swiss competition, and prize money will be awarded to the top 6 teams in the double competition:

1. The top 8 teams in the team competition will be rewarded:

   The first place: 100,000 yuan; the second place: 50,000 yuan; the third place: 30,000 yuan; the fourth place: 20,000 yuan; the fifth place: 10,000 yuan; the sixth place: 8,000 yuan

7th place: 6,000 yuan; 8th place: 5,000 yuan

2. The top 6 winners in the Swiss competition will be rewarded:

   The first place: 5000 yuan; the second place: 4000 yuan; the third place: 3000 yuan; the fourth place: 2000 yuan; the fifth place: 1500 yuan; the sixth place: 1000 yuan.

3. Rewards will be given to the top 6 in the special double competition:

   The first place: 1000 yuan; the second place: 800 yuan; the third place: 600 yuan;

Fourth place: 400 yuan; fifth place: 300 yuan; sixth place: 200 yuan.

(2) Players who have achieved excellent results will be reported to the Chinese Bridge Association to be awarded the Master Points of the Chinese Bridge Association according to the "Technical Grade Standards for Members of the Chinese Bridge Association".

8. Registration and Registration:

2. Teams must report to the competition area on November 16, 2010.

   The competition area is not responsible for pick-up and drop-off.
