China Bridge Association's Proposal to Hold the 19th Asian Games.Notice of the National Mixed Bridge Team Selection Tournament

The establishment methods and relevant requirements for the national mixed bridge team of the 19th Asian Games are hereby notified as follows:

1、 The national mixed bridge team of the 19th Asian Games will be selected through a selection competition, and their representative qualification will last until the end of this Asian Games.

2、 Selection time and location

（1） Time: It is planned to be held from March to April 2022, and the specific time will be subject to the supplementary notice.

（2） Location: Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province.

3、 Registration

（1） Deadline: Before 17:00 on March 18, 2022.

（2） Registration method: The scanned and electronic version of the registration form with the seal should be sent to the China Bridge Association email: ccba@sport.gov.cn

4、 Selection method

（1） Adopting a team selection method.

（2） All participating athletes must achieve a 1/2 appearance rate during the round robin stage, and if their appearance rate is insufficient, the entire team cannot advance to the knockout stage. The final selected team members must achieve a 1/2 appearance rate in both the round robin and each knockout match.

5、 Qualification

（1） Members of the China Bridge Association can form teams to participate, and each member unit is only allowed to register for one team.

（2） Athletes must meet the following conditions:

1. Citizens of the People's Republic of China, in good physical health;

2. I have not represented any other country or region in the World Championships or Intercontinental Championships in the past three years.

（3） Each team can have 4-6 athletes, 1 team leader, and 1 coach. Among them, there are 2-4 male athletes and 2-4 female athletes, and there is no gender limit for team leaders and coaches. The playing partner must be composed of one male athlete and one female athlete. All athletes must meet one of the following conditions:

1. Top three in the mixed team competition of the National Bridge Championship from 2018 to 2021;

2. Top three players in the 2018-2019 National Bridge Mixed Team Open;

3. Top three in the mixed team competition at the Hainan Bridge Festival from 2018 to 2019;

4. Top three in the mixed team competition of the bridge competition at the 4th National Intellectual Games;

5. Top three in the mixed team competition of the 14th National Games Bridge Competition;

6. Top three in the open team competition of the 2018 2021 National Bridge Championships and top three in the women's team competition;

7. Top three men's (Class A) and top three women's (Class A) teams in the 2018-2019 National Bridge Team Tournament;

8. Top three in the open group (Grade A) and top three in the women's group of the 2018-2021 National Bridge Club Championship;

9. Ranked in the top three of the men's team competition and the top three of the women's team competition in the bridge competition of the Fourth National Intellectual Games;

10. Top three men's team events and top three women's team events in the 14th National Games Bridge Competition;

Top three in the sub finals and finals of the National Bridge Class A Club League from 2018 to 2021;

Champion of the National Bridge A-Class Club League Friendship Tournament, China Bridge Elite Tournament, and various national bridge team open tournaments from 2018 to 2021;

Top three in the National Bridge Women's Club League from 2018 to 2019.

For the above events, the athlete's participation rate must reach 30%.

14. Member of the National Bridge Team from 2018 to 2021;

During the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021, male athletes who obtained a Master's score of 1300 gold points or more from the China Bridge Association and female athletes who obtained a Master's score of 1000 gold points or more;

16. World Grand Master and World Lifetime Master.

（4） Athletes who have already been selected for the Chinese men's team lineup at the Asian Games are not allowed to participate in the national mixed team trials at the Asian Games.

（5） When the number of registered teams exceeds 10, the top 10 teams will participate based on the total number of gold points obtained by the registered team from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2021, by the four members (2 male and 2 female athletes) with the highest master's gold points of the China Bridge Association.

6、 Selection Competition Method

（1） The competition is divided into two stages: the first stage is a round robin, and the second stage is a knockout round.

（2） The round robin will determine the number of rounds and pairs per round based on the registration situation.

（3） In the knockout stage, 80 cards will be played in the semi-finals and 96 cards will be played in the finals.

7、 Waiver after selection

If a sports team or athlete withdraws without reason after being selected for the national mixed team, then:

（1） Waiver of Entire Team: Members of this unit will be disqualified from participating in the 2022 National Bridge Competition, and all team members will be disqualified from participating in the next national team selection competition.

（2） Individual Waiver of Athlete: The athlete will be disqualified from participating in the 2022 National Bridge Competition and will be disqualified from participating in any of the next national team trials.

（3） The entire team abstains and is selected for the national mixed team by the second place in the selection competition; Individual waiver, additional candidates will be determined by the China Bridge Association.

8、 Increase and adjustment of athletes

The China Bridge Association reserves the right to adjust one pair of athletes. Selected teams are not allowed to adjust their athletes on their own. If adjustments are necessary for special reasons, they must be approved by the China Bridge Association. When athletes need to be adjusted, the athletes who need to be adjusted must meet one of the selection criteria.

9、 National team management

（1） The national team is managed by the China Bridge Association and must comply with the relevant systems and regulations of the General Administration of Sport and the China Bridge Association regarding the management of the national team.

（2） Selected athletes should have a strong sense of patriotism and a desire to win glory for their country. Having a good sportsmanship and professional ethics, strictly adhering to the requirements and regulations of national and international organizations regarding race discipline and anti doping work, and being honest and trustworthy. When participating in the Asian Games, maintain the national image, comply with the relevant regulations of the Chinese sports delegation, and unconditionally represent the country in the Asian Games and related activities.

（3） The national team's training and competition will be arranged by the China Bridge Association.

（4） Selected athletes must participate in all training sessions and comply with the National Bridge Team Management Regulations during the training sessions.

（5） If any athlete violates the above requirements, they will be dealt with seriously in accordance with relevant regulations, until their national team qualification is cancelled.

10、 Matters not covered will be notified separately.
