Competition Regulations for the 2022 National Bridge Comprehensive Championships

The specific competition items are subject to the competition notice.
2、 Participation method
(1) All individual members and enthusiasts of the China Bridge Association are eligible to register for the competition.
(2) Registration method
1. The grassroots bridge association team competition only allows local (city) and county (district) bridge associations among the association members of the China Bridge Association to register and participate. The qualification of athletes' representatives shall be based on the athletes in the region (registered residence registration or social security relationship, and the social security relationship certificate shall provide the social security record of more than 12 consecutive months of recent payment). Each team allows two athletes from other regions to participate. Athletes representing provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, cities specifically designated in the national plan, and industry sports associations participating in the 2022 National Bridge Team Tournament are not allowed to participate in this competition.
2. Each team can enroll 4-6 athletes in team competitions. Among them: In the mixed team competition, each team has 2-4 male athletes and 2-4 female athletes. The playing partner must be composed of 1 male athlete and 1 female athlete.
3. The specific registration methods and requirements shall be subject to the supplementary notice.
(3) Each participating team shall bear their own expenses.
(4) Registration fee
The registration fee standard is determined based on the competition unit and charged according to the competition stage. 1 unit=half a day (up to 24 deck matches), among which all participating teams/pairs composed of non defaulting individual members of the China Bridge Association will be charged according to the following standards:
1. Team competition: 200 yuan/team/unit. Among them, registration fees will no longer be charged for open group finals.
2. Double event: 100 yuan/pair/unit.
3. Youth team competition: 100 yuan/team/unit.
4. Youth doubles: 50 yuan/pair/unit.
Non member and delinquent members will be charged an additional 50 yuan per person for each competition registration fee based on the above.
The registration fee will be collected by the organizer.
3、 Competition methods
(1) Various competition methods
1. Open team competition: The competition method is determined based on the registration situation.
2. Women's team competition: The competition method will be determined based on the registration situation.
3. Mixed team competition: The competition method is determined based on the registration situation.
4. Youth team competitions (U20, U15): divided into two stages. In the first stage, the competition method will be determined based on the registration situation, and the top 8 will be selected to enter the second stage. The second stage is the knockout round.
5. Open doubles: Adopting a competition scoring system, it is divided into two stages: preliminary and final. The preliminary round adopts a point based competition system, with the top 16 pairs entering the final with points. The final adopts the Howell system, and the ranking is determined based on the sum of the final and the score, with the higher ranking ranking first.
6. Women's doubles: The competition adopts a scoring system and points arrangement competition system, and the competition rounds and number of pairs are determined based on the registration situation. Ranking is determined based on the average percentage, with the higher ranking being ranked first.
7. Mixed doubles: Adopting a competition scoring system, it is divided into two stages: preliminary and final. The preliminary round adopts a point based competition system, with the top 16 pairs entering the final with points. The final adopts the Howell system, and the ranking is determined based on the sum of the final score and the score with points, with the higher one ranking first.
8. Youth Double Tournament (U20, U15): Adopting a competition scoring system and a point arrangement competition system, 12 rounds of competition will be held, with 5 pairs per round. Ranking is determined based on the average percentage, with the higher ranking being ranked first.
9. One pair to one team competition: The competition method is determined based on the registration situation.
10. Swiss team competition: Using points arrangement, the competition consists of 8 rounds, with 7 deck cards in each round. Ranking is determined based on the cumulative VP level, with the higher ranking being ranked first.
11. Swiss Twin Tournament: The competition is organized using points and the number of rounds and sets is determined based on the registration situation.
12. IMP Twin Tournament: The competition is organized using points, and the number of rounds and pairs of matches is determined based on the registration situation.
13. Parent Child (Teacher Student) Twin Tournament: The competition is organized using points, and the number of rounds and pairs of matches is determined based on the registration situation.
14. Continuous (graded) doubles: During the competition, several consecutive doubles will be arranged according to the schedule, and the competition method will depend on the registration situation. Contests with master scores below 500 (excluding) will be ranked separately based on their scores, and rankings will be cancelled if they fall below 10 pairs.
15. Grassroots Bridge Association Team Tournament: The competition is organized using points, and the number of rounds and sets is determined based on the registration situation.
(2) The competition adopts the "China Bridge Competition Rules" approved by the China Bridge Association in 2018 and the "Supplementary Provisions to the China Bridge Competition Rules" (2020).
(3) Each pair of players must bring their Chinese system card and two copies of the attached page to the game.
4、 Admission Ranking and Rewards
(1) The top 4 teams will be admitted to the Open Team, Women's Team, Quick Elimination Competition, and Youth Team Competition. There will be no additional rounds in the elimination competition, and the relevant teams will be ranked in parallel (including 17 teams from the Open Team Competition and later ranked based on their preliminary results). Admitted to the top 6 in other competitions.
(2) Rewards will be awarded to the top 6 winners in open doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles competitions.
(3) Obtained the qualification to participate in the 2023 National Bridge Association Men's Group C Team Competition through the grassroots bridge association team competition: Top 4 for teams 40 and below; For teams above 41, the top 6.
(4) Certificates will be issued for admission to various competitions, with the top three being awarded medals.
(5) All competitions are awarded Master Points by the China Bridge Association in accordance with the "Technical Grade Standards for Members of the China Bridge Association".
5、 Reporting
The referee shall report to the competition area 3 days before the competition, and each participating team or athlete shall report to the competition area 1 day before the competition.
6、 The selection method for referees and arbitration committees shall be separately formulated.
7、 Other
(1) Participating teams or individual athletes must purchase personal accident insurance (including during the competition and on the way back and forth).
(2) Matters not covered will be notified separately.
